I thought I had it all figured out, but now I'm second-guessing myself. I'd like to do both, eventually, but it looks like I can only fit in one or the other. I *really* thought I wanted Boma, but Yak & Yeti seems to have some drawing points.

Given the following situation, which would you do?

1. We'll be at AK all day. We'll have breakfast, and then an early dinner around 5:00.
2. It would be nice to stay at the park so we don't have all that travel time in between, going from AK to AKL, then back to AK to get back to our resort hotel.
3. Last time we were there, the kids wanted to do Kali River Rapids and it didn't happen. Part of the reason it didn't happen is because I didn't enjoy the idea of being wet all day after that. But, if we stayed at AK for Yak & Yeti, we could get Fastpasses and ride after eating and before heading home.
4. But I still think Boma looks really cool.

Given all of this information, together with your personal experiences with both places, which would you do?

For me, even with the inconvenience of leaving AK, I'd still head over to Boma because the menu is way better IMO.

Yak and Yetti is mostly "tempura", fried, battered.

Not that that is all bad, but it basically is a chinese restaurant that you can probably get most of the items near your home. (Pot Stickers, Fried Rice, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Wonton Soup, etc...).

Boma is different. Unlike anything I had ever had. African Breads, spreads, soups, salads, spiced meats, and fruits and vegatables. I really liked the atmosphere of this place too.

And you can still get a FP for KRR before you head over to AKL and use it when you get back. They don't expire after your return time window.

No comparison. There is a comparison between Tusker House and Boma though.

You could do that instead of leaving and returning. Leaving AK for dinner is not really time effective. It closes earlier than any other park, so you'd be cutting into your last couple of hours, possibly eliminating them all together.

You've already given yourself enough reasons for choosing Yak & Yeti!!!! I'll give you another one - it's fantastic!!!! The food, theming, and service were all great there. Easily in my top 5 favorite WDW restaurants! If you enjoy a good "adult" beverage with your meal try the Yak Attack - I dream about them!!!!:goodvibes
