Hmm - Mama Melrose reservation cancelled 9/2....

At WDW now, anyone know what might be going on with Mama Melrose? Just got a call canceling our lunch tomorrow 9/2 due to "unplanned maintenance."

We had an issue in July where MM had an unexpected closure and we were super disappointed. But, they opened a special buffet dinner at PizzeRizzo and it was a decent replacement (salads, pizza, two kids of pasta, chicken parm, another meat and sides, + dessert). They offered us free fantastic passes and extra FPs.

Yes, I moved the thread from the DVC Boards to the Restaurants Board. I did not check to see if the question was already here before I moved it.

Consider your self lucky, worst service by far in any restaurant on disney property.

Waited 2 hours to be seated first and only time we ate there

This happened when DD and I went in Nov 2016. We didn't get a heads up call, a buffet or a complementary FP , we showed for our resv and there were CM outside saying sorry emergency closing can we book you somewhere else, "oh no that's not available, uh no no availability there" you can probably get the point, no availability anywhere in the Studios, duh it was the 1/2 marathon weekend. No big deal for us because we go to WDW fairly often, I don't even remember what we did, probably walked over to Epcot for favorites at F&W. Interesting though that they are having these repeated outages.
