Yes! It's wonderful! Some of the cast members have been very creative in how they take the pictures. And, they take MANY now. If you are going to Disneyland, you can hold Tinkerbelle in your hand at the castle or at the mickey floral. It's cute! At DCA, you can point at Stitch coming out of the concrete. If you take a picture with Jack Sparrow (on Pirates Lair) they do a border for you. You can order in the park or purchase from home and add more borders. I have not been disappointed and we purchase the disk all the time. If you buy the disk, there is a copyright note that you print out and take with you if purchase from a place like Costco, Walgreens, etc. For pictures in front of the castle, have them take you off to the side as well. It's a different angle and no one is behind you. A cast member will hand you a card and you just carry it with you the entire time. You can wait and see them in the end or at home. They won't erase them until a certain time afterwards. I'm a fan!

The simplest way to do it.

Go to Disneyland or DCA.

See a photopass photgrapher, get their attention, they take a picture of you.

They get a card from their pouch, scan the card which associates those pictures with that card, they give you the card.

As you see photopass photographers during your trip, have your pictures taken by them, taking advantage of the fun poses the photographers come up with (look around the last few pages of this forum to find the various recent threads on fun poses and add-ons the photographers can do). They will scan your card each time.

If your party splits up, each group or each person can get their own cards!

Once you're done, if you want prints you can get prints at the photo centers at DL and DCA. If you want a CD of those pictures to take home (and the photo release which allows you to make prints of the pictures anywhere you choose), go to a photo center and have one made.

If you get home and want prints, do that online. If you want a photo CD from home, you can edit the pictures with fun borders and signatures (look around the last few pages again for examples, specifically some examples of mine in dopey's_mil's post, and even my Sept and Dec trip reports linked to in my signature), and order that.

It's the same system at DL and WDW so if you ever go to WDW you can use the card there too. It makes a good conversation starter because the cards are noticably different.
