HMH CM script?

I had a question about the script the cast members in the NBC Haunted House use.

On one day, when we stepped into the elevator she said, "Step away from the walls so you can see how Jack Skellington wrecked our halls." I thought, "Wrecked? That's an odd thing to say."

The next day another CM said, "...see how Jack Skellington DECKED our halls." So then I thought I must have misunderstood the first time. However, later that evening we went on one more time and (I think it was the same CM as the day before) the CM said clearly said "wrecked".

This got me wondering what is it supposed to be. Was "wrecked" a mistake, an opinion on the state of the HM at Christmas, or just one of the script choices they can say?

I woke up at 3:30am this morning pondering this! :rotfl: Does anyone else remember what they said when you went in the elevator? Or am I the only one who obsesses about these things? :crazy2:

I've heard it both ways. They both sound fine to me. :) Altho I did giggle a bit when I heard the CM say "wrecked" instead of decked.....hmmmm, wonder if it was the same CM.

Yes, I thought it was funny because it reminded me of the discussions on the board. :rotfl:

I'm sure it can be one or the other.

Spieling the same thing over and over again can become slightly menotinous, so many CMs do slightly alter their spiels every time around. It's usually just a word or a tone of voice.

i.e. I normally change the following part of my spiels:

Please enjoy the rest of your stay here at Disneyland Park, The Place Where Dreams Come True.

so, depending on whatever my mental game of rollette comes up with, lol, you might hear:

Please enjoy the rest of your stay here at Disneyland Park, The Happiest Place on Earth

Please enjoy the rest of your stay here at Disneyland Park, The Merriest Place on Earth (during Christmastime)

Please enjoy the rest of your stay here at Walt Disney's Original Magic Kingdom, The Place Where Dreams Come True.

Please enjoy the rest of your stay here at the Disneyland Resort, where everyday is a magical celebration (since 1/1)

Or any one of a grand number of varieties.

One time on the POTC, one CM stated to one of the guests, Ma'am, please watch your big boootay! ;)

lol gisele I knew you'd be all over that wrecked part!! I guess I didn't pay attention because I cannot recall what was said. Hmmm..

Yes, I can imagine it would get tedious to say the same thing over and over. :)

Gisele- I thought of you as soon as she said it! I knew you'd like that. :rotfl:
