HM Elizabeth II broadcasted a message to the UK and the Commonwealth today at 3pm. Very uplifting, strengthening and helpful for many of us. If considered political, then my apologies and do what you need to do. If not, watch and take heart.

Thanks for the post. I missed the first part. I had hoped she would have mentioned the Commonwealth a tad more. It does feel less isolating to know we are "in this together" under the queen as commonwealth members.

As an Canadian, I am accustomed to thinking about the Queen as a part of my country. And I understand it is not the same for my American Disboard colleagues. However, please consider watching it as Queen Elizabeth’s message was encouraging, however with your eyes wide open. My family took her 4 minutes of comments to be grounding yet positive. Honestly, it was a bit like mom saying, “I know how bad it seems and we will get through this.”
Nice to have a COVID message that doesn’t provide statistics but acknowledges we all have to bear down in our own way right now.

I found it comforting in the same aspect. We've rallied through much worse and we will do what is needed to get through this too.

Thank you for posting the message. Somehow I missed it on Global. I always make a point of watching The Queen‘s Christmas Message too.
