So I booked our trip for Aug\Sept 2014 and looking at the rack rates kinda startled me. I know Disney usually offers discounts during this season, but I was wondering if the 20%-40% discount offered in the past was for the package or just a room-only. Basically I'm figuring out all possible discounts so we can jump on them if they are offered. :thumbsup2

Mousesavers has a historical record of all special offers from previous years. You can check over there for specifics.

I believe that most offers of % off are for room only. Package discounts tend to be free dining or play stay and dine, that kind of thing. I haven't seen a 40% off for the GP in a while. I think the biggest discount this year is 30% off at some of the deluxes. Of course there are special PIN or AP offers, but those aren't generally available.

I recall last year about this time getting a pin offering about 21% off room and tickets for the time frame you mentioned.

Food was, of course, optional and full price.

I've moved this thread to the Discount Codes and Rates board. :)
