I have in my itinerary to probably not go to the HISTK playground because it is only for kids ages 4 and up. Where did I find this, I don't know. Is it true? My DD2 can't play on this? :confused3

Also in my itinerary is a question mark next to the Viking ship play area in Norway. I had seen a post sometime that said kids might not be able to play there anymore? :confused3

You would think with my compulsive planning and note taking that I would've included where I saw these things, but I didn't. :sad2:

Can anyone answer these questions?

TIA!!!!!!

Don't know about right now, but in the past, HISTK playground had a whole section for little ones. Small tunnels, lots of padded stuff to play on, etc. Did they take this stuff out during the last rehab?

The Norway ship was open last August, I believe. Not much help to you, am I, sorry...

HISTKPG is by the back lot tour in MGM, and accross the street from the new stunt show. My 3 year old (38 months) loved it.

Not sure about the viking ship...but there is not much to do there anyway.

I took my DD to HISTK when she was only 11 months and DS almost 2 and a half. I went back with my 2 and my freinds 2 and the kids were 5.4,3 and 21/2. They all loved it. We havent made it tot he Viking ship

Our just-turned 2 DS loved the Kodak Film slide in the HISTK playground. I have a photo of him on it in the community photo section under skoba-nelson. It was September and we were dying of heat in there just standing but he kept wanting to go again and again.

The viking ship he loved only because of the long ramp to get up in it. He loved (still loves) the idea of ramps. Once on the ship it is just a deck-no activities, toys, games, slides, ropes or anything even ship-like. Just a flat, boring platform. But he loved the ramp!

Thank you both! We will try them both...and my DD2 loves going up and down ramps in stores so I'm sure she'll love this.

My DD2, DH and I were on the Viking boat in January. It's not that interesting for kids. But then we are historic re-enactors who do Viking and our group has 2 replica Viking boats (a 38 foot long ship and a 20 foot faering - the family stationwagon of the Viking period :rotfl: ) that are very accurate historically. DD has grown up playing on, sleeping in and generally around the closest thing to a real Viking boat around, so the one in Norway failed to impress.
