Hire Car - booking in UK any advantages??

Slightly off topic as we are going to Canada this year not WDW, but are there any advantages to booking car hire (probably with Avis) on the UK site or should we go direct to the Canadian one?

I would assume like booking for the US that by booking through the UK site you will have all insurance etc included.

Book as you would do for USA ........ then you will have your pre paid voucher with you when you land in Canada.

( we use car rentals .com for Europe & USA & for Canada next September )

My mistake the car hire Co. we use is Rentalcars.com

Thanks everyone for your suggestions, we've only booked US car hire as part of a package before so wasn't sure what to do - I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed as I'm not usually a totally DIY planner.

If you try and book directly with the Canadian site, you will be offered prices that don't include insurance as if you live in country, your own car insurance will cover your rental. We don't have that luxury, so book from home is a better idea.
