DH and 3 yr old dd stayed at OKW ( 1bdrm villa) for 1 wk this past Sept and had a wonderful time. I loved renting points and thought we got an incredible deal. Also loved driving right up to room and the quietness for dd's naps.

I have been to WDW a zillion times growing up but never during the holiday season. We are going to start planning a trip for 1 wk either the 1st or 2nd week of Dec. I am undecided on where to stay. Would like that holiday feeling and don't think I would get that at OKW but I think that a hotel room might not compare to what we had before. Anyone that has just came back this holiday season (or stayed any other holiday season) have any opinions, suggestions or ideas??

Thanks!!

I agree WL, we stayed there last year and toured some of the other resorts. WL was our family favorite.

We're going the week after thanksgiving this year, staying at Beach Club, with then ages 4yo and 19mo daughters. We debated on where to stay, since this will be their first trip, but we really love this area, so much to do, at night walk to Boardwalk, or Epcot. Dh and I went on our honeymoon this timeframe in 2000, and the whole area had a holiday feel to it.

I had a feeling WL would be done up real nice for Christmas. I thnk I may have to consider that.

Thanks

We loved the GF for a pre-holiday stay. The gingerbread house was absolutely incredible! I thought we might feel out of place at such an elegant resort as we are a rather laid-back family of 5, but it was really wonderful. We had a great 4th floor room in Conch Key (garden view) that overlooked Narcoosee's and had a great view of the sunrise over the lagoon.

We also visited all the other deluxe resorts, which in itself was an awesome holiday activity as they were all unique and beautiful. As others say... the WL was beautiful but we loved the GF for the convenient transportation, especially our late night return from the MVMCP. Since we are "park people" and don't favor having a car on the premises, I'm a resort hopper at heart -- stay where it's most convenient to the activities you plan to enjoy...
