Honest opinions please ....Hilton Resort

I think it is very close to DTD - across the street ? Am I correct ?
They do participate in early entry/late evenings at WDW parks.

But - how are the pools ? Do they have slides ?

How much is a cot ? Our DS & DD will not sleep together.
Better to get an upgraded room with a couch ?

Buses to parks crowded ?

How are the rooms ? clean ? Beds comfy ?

Anything good ? Anything about the Hilton you did not like ?

My wife and I stayed there the week of Dec 11 to Dec 19. so my anwswers are based on that time period.

the Bus did not start out crowded, but remember they pick up from about 4 other hotels, so by the end of the run, it tends to be standing room only.

The rooms were comfortable. We had been upgraded to a mini suite, but the beds are the same in all the Hiltons, and so is the furniture.

I do not remember seeing slides at the pools. There were three, two large and a kids pool and two hot tubs. All outdoors.

The 24 hours deli had a good assortment of food and not too very expensive. We had sandwiches and wraps there one night and they ran about $7.00

Nice to walk over to DTD and shop, eat, play. Also you can catch the Disney busses to the Resorts. Just not to the parks. Have to use the hotel busses to the parks.

We stayed there in August for $79/night, and liked the hotel alot (clean, comfry, pleasant common areas, etc.)

It is diagonally-across the street from DTD, which is convenient.

No charge for parking, no resort fees, free bus transportation to the parks.

We (3 of us) were put in a suite of some sort (the size of 2 regular rooms put together). It had 2 beds and a sofa sleeper, and it was very clean.

There were no slides at the pool, IIRC.

We used their bus to the parks on 2 different early entry days. It was standing room only (but tolerable) in the morning, and jam-packed standing room only in the evenings (at park closing, anyway). Do be prepared for a horribly long wait for the bus if you leave after the Magic Kingdom closes - we waited over an hour, jostling with a huge crowd of people who seemed to have no sense of waiting their turn in line.

Overall, we liked the hotel and would stay there again.
