Which do you prefer and why? Doing more than Disney parks this trip (Universal and Seaworld) so distance to Disney not a factor. Any thoughts appreciated. ;)

I'm not going to be that much help since we've only stayed at the Hilton Orlando, (we always do split stays with one Hilton b/c we have so many saved Hilton Points). I can tell you that we were at the Hilton Orlando last March and we loved it... the pool area and lazy river were wonderful. Rooms were great and very clean. The casual restaurant was quite good and Sea World was super close. Getting to and from Disney was easy as well. I don't think you'll be disappointed there. We'll probably do Bonnet Creek next time around, though, mostly because I love checking out new hotels!

If proximity to Disney is not a factor, go with the less expensive property. They are both first-rate hotels.

But if location is more important than price...

If you want to feel like your staying on Disney property, no question go with Hilton Bonnet Creek.

If you want to be closer to Sea World and Universal, go with Hilton Orlando.

But if you really want to treat yourself, go with Waldorf=Astoria Orlando.:)

I appreciate your comments Brenner965 and DisFanEY! We probably will do the Hilton Orlando this time - we got a deal with the Executive Floor so should be worth the extras.

Thanks again! :thumbsup2

We stayed at Hilton Bonnet Creek last summer (never been to Hilton Orlando). We would stay there again in a heartbeat! We also said that the hotel is a destination itself (i.e. no need to go to the parks while you are there). The pool is HUGE - zero entry area, big lazy river, kiddie splash pool, waterslide, etc. Also, the pool bar/restaurant is very good, kids eat free at breakfast and dinner in one of the restaurants (breakfast=good, dinner for adults=ok). La Luce (nice restaurant on property) was the best dinner we had all week! Fabulous food and they treated our kids wonderfully. Plus, you have full access to all of the Waldorf facilities too, including the golf course.

I highly recommend it.

Hilton Bonnet Creek is definitely on my list of must-do hotels! Thanks so much for your comments! :thumbsup2

Hilton Bonnet Creek is really nicely done. It's also connected to the Waldorf Astoria Hotel. Lot's of restaurants and nice pool areas!
