Hilton in Walt Disney World Resort ???

DH and I are staying at the Hilton Walt Disney World Resort for 4 nights in June. Has anyone stayed there? and if so, how was it?

DH is coming home for an R/R from Iraq for a few weeks so this is like a mini honeymoon.

PS we are not picky people, just curious what others thought about the hotel.

I assume that you are talking about the Hilton at Downtown Disney. We stayed there a few years ago and it was fine. The room was extremely clean and very big! The hotel itself is the closest to the actual Downtown Disney Marketplace. It is about a 2 minute walk from the Hilton. The bus service to the parks was ok. I believe that Hilton guests are still eligible for EMH at the parks but I would double check on that.

We might also be spending one evening there in 2 weeks before we check into our condo... They do qualify for EMH which is cool.

Enjoy your time with DH on his R&R - mine returned a few weeks ago so I know what that is like..

We stayed at Hilton DTD last month for 5 nights. It is a lovely hotel, our room was very clean.The best part of the hotel is the location to DTD, just a quick walk across the road. Enjoy and thank you and your husband for his service.

We are staying here for the first time in December and have heard good things.

We got this on priceline 2x for $60.00.....it is a lovely hotel. It is a great location, the inside had everything you need (restraunts, shops etc)...it is clean, well staffed etc.

I think you will enjoy it!

We stayed there once and we liked it. I would stay there again without hesitation.

The Hilton is a fine hotel, not the Disney resort with the magic, but there is a Disney gift shop near the pool entrance.

The staff is great, watch for the happy hour specials at the bar daily.

Since you and your husband are on a "honeymoon" ask for a upgrade to the club level, free soda, coffee, and cookies as well as cont breakfast and dinner apps until 2300.

We're at the Hilton right now! We got the room for $60 on priceline and then paid $50 to upgrade to club level. We're only staying for one night but everything is great. We took a walk over to downtown disney to have lunch at Earl of Sandwich and ride the balloon ride. It took about 5 minutes to walk over there. The pool is great and they have a nice little pool bar that serves food and drinks until 6:00. I took a ton of pictures that I'll post as soon as I have a chance.

Steph - looks like we'll both find out at the same time how the Hilton rates. Enjoy this mid-tour break with your hubby - it's worth every minute. We had comtemplated whether or not hubby was going to come home mid-tour because of how hard it would be on the kids to say goodbye again - but it was worth every minute he was home for R&R. Have a GREAT vacation
