We are wondering about the availability of Hilton Head, studio or one bedroom, for June, July,
August using the 7 month window. What are our chances of getting something?

You'll never know until you call MS.

There are only 21 studios and 21 1BR villas at the resort and June, July and Aug are the most popular months, but the dynamics of the reservation system are very active- so anything is possible. The wait list has helped many over the years.

You will stand a better chance of getting something if you can be *very* flexible about your dates. Before I bought points there, I was able to get in one summer by telling MS I would take anything at all in June or July. (I teach) I got a 2BR the last week of July, and they said that it was unusual that I got it. Just call and see what's available and get on the waitlist. You may get lucky if you are flexible with the dates.

Our first trip three summers ago was booked at the 7 month window. We wanted and got a 2 bedroom. Definately call day by day to secure your reservation. I don't know if it worked to my advantage or not, but my 7 month window turned out to be the time frame of Christmas. MS was closed a couple of days and with the weekend, I only had to call a couple of times to book the entire week. And, call first thing in the AM.

We booked a studio at 7 months out for 7/5-7/10.
It was the only week available in July at that time.

The first 2 weeks of June and last 2 weeks of July will be your best chance. I wouldn't hold my breath for the rest of the time. You might have a chance with a 2 BR but doubtful for a studio or 1 BR unless there's a last minute cancellation and you can travel on short notice.

We have been members at OKW since 1994 and had spent 4 holiday seasons at HHI. We wanted to try summer and the beach there so we tried for last July and said any sun-thurs in July and we had our choice, but we had to get a 2bd room and we really only needed one..so we invited family for a couple of days from GA. It was super. We booked at the 7month window, but this year, we can book in August for next July with our add-on points at HHI! WooHOO! Summer is had to get on 7 months if you are not flexible with the dates or accomdations. Good Luck.
