Is there a specific room or building we should request? We are staying in a 1 bedroom and would like a view of the water/marsh. Thanks for the help! This will be our first visit here!

We have stayed twice at HH. Each time in a 1 bdrm. The first time was in bldg # 16, not a marsh view but nice all the same. The second time in bldg #18, marsh view, really nice. But you do need to know that the one bedrooms that are not in the main lodge bldg are all below grand villas (I think) and depending who is in the villa above you, can get noisy. The first time I don't remember the noise being an issue, but the second time it was.

We had a great time both trips!

Yes and yes - 11 and 12.

I think you'd agree that this was a pretty nice water view from a 1 BR, main lodge, top floor, #1132. We loved it!

How about a 2 br. We are going for our first HH trip in April---just reserved 4/20-4/26. What would a good view be and how many 2 br rooms are there?

I have to agree with you Simba's Mom! I would love to get the same room. When making the reservation, will they guarantee which building we will be in if we request a certain one?

How about a 2 br. We are going for our first HH trip in April---just reserved 4/20-4/26. What would a good view be and how many 2 br rooms are there?

The majority of the rooms at HH (there are only just over 100) are two bedrooms. As far as buildings, I don't know which to recommend. We love the marsh view, but we also like being next to the pool because we can sit on our porch and keep an eye on everyone. (Kinda depends on who you are going with.)

We visited HH for the first time in late March 2007. We got a 2BR lower unit by using the wait list; it was a hastily planned last minute trip, so we were glad to get in at all. Even though it was not a water view, we still thought it was great! The porch was a pleasant spot to sit and eat or read. The landscaping is beautiful. Judging by the wait list and the full parking lot, the resort was full, yet it still seemed very quiet and peaceful. We'll go again.
