Hilton Head-what type units/overall resort reviews?

Can someone tell me what size units are available at Hilton Head and your overall opinion of the resort?

We actually are looking into going there next year with my parents and wanted some feedback..Thanks

We love HH! IMHO it is a wonderful, beautiful resort. As far as I know they have Studios, 1 and 2 bdrms. No Grand Villas. The resort is located on the marsh. There are views of the harbour and the marsh. Its really neat to watch the tide come in. Lots of trees. Can't say enough about it. The resort pool is great, our DD 9 loves the slide!

You can either take a shuttle or drive your car over to the beach house. By car only like 2-3 minutes. They have a pool, resturant and pool bar there. Of course beach access. We don't spend much time on the beach but do go for walks or look for shells. They have plenty of activities for kids. There is a pool table in the main building with TV, etc. We enjoy playing a game here and there.

There is plenty of shopping and golf there as well. As far as places to eat, lots of those too. We love and never miss The Old Oyster Factory. It also sits on the marsh and if you go around the time of sunset, it awesome! I hope you enjoy if you go!

THanks...can you tell me how many the 2 bedroom can accomodate? The points calculator indicates there are grand villas available so I am not sure if these are there as well and how many they accomodate...Thanks

There are GV's @ the HH resort. I believe there are 5 GV's at the resort. Capacity for a GV is 12 persons. Capacity for the 2 BR is 8. Capacity for the studios and 1 BR's is 4.

There are a total 102 units at the resort. It is a beautiful resort, well suited for a family vacation. I suggest you check out Tommy Towery's site for moore information on the resort. Just do a google search with his name and you should be able to find it.

There are Studios (21), 1BR (21) and GV's (5) in addition to the 76 2BR villas at the resort.

There are Marsh , Island and Pool views available.

When you have a few minutes, go back a few pages on this DVC forum. Several members have returned from HH recently and have posted trip reports/reviews.

Most seem to love the resort (I know we do!), but be sure to read the one from someone who didn't care for the location (not directly on the ocean), to get a complete picture.
