If I were to buy in at Hilton Head, say early next year, what time frames would be a good possibility of getting a studio for a couple nights during the rest of 2018? Probably the very off season I would assume, if any?
(As long as there are points available on it without having to borrow)

It depends on how far out and when. Very off season is Winter, the rest of the time a studio might be tricky. Why not buy now and book at 11 months out?

Of course but your note talked about buying early next year. You have the better part of a year to do that before your stated possible purchase. That was my suggestion, buy now if it makes sense then you'd have more options to reserve.
