I am looking for vacation pictures from Hilton Head....if you have em'...please share em'

Thanks !

I would love to see them too. Staying in the Grand Villa in December and trying to learn all that I can about it.

You will LOVE HH!!! We have been twice and we have had great trips both times. The resort is set off by itself and is very peaceful and quiet. Both times we have overlooked the pool and it still wasn't noisy. They have lots of activities at the resort and there are all kinds of things to do on the island. I have lots of pictures and I will try to have my DH help me figure out how to put them on here when he gets home.

We are looking forward to another trip there in 2008!

Has anybody gone in December? It was the only time we could all get a full week off together. I'm just hoping they still have plenty of activities for the kids.

what types of activities are there. My DH and I are looking for an annv. getaway without the kids. Is there activities around to do? Is it mostly beach and thats it? Shopping? Any kind of local activities? Thanks for info!

HH has a wide range of activities- both at the resort and on the island. All varieties of water activities are available - canoeing, kayaking, fishing, crabbing, parasailing, Dolphin watch cruises, shelling, crabbing, sunset cruises, swimming, etc.

The island has a number of great golf courses, clay and hard surface tennins courts are nearby, there are about 300 restaurants nearby, shopping- with both outlet malls and specialty boutiques, theater productions, museums and art galleries.

A short drive away is Savannah, GA and Charleston, SC with lots of historical sites. HH itself has some historical sites- a "tabby" plantation site (not restored, but foundations and some other information may be seen), Indian oyster shell mounds (in the Lawton area) and the Old Fort area.

The resort has a wonderful selection of activities for families, children and adults with "Kids Night Out", Magic shows, campfire activities, stories, "Behind the Ears" tours, wine tasting, cooking classes, biking (the island has miles of paved bike trails) and lots of age appropriate programs at the resort (crafts, hikes, horseback riding).

In addition, there is also plenty of opportunity for relaxation for those so inclined! ;)

Enjoy!
