Who goes to Hilton Head resort during the cold months?
I was just wondering what there is to do there during the winter time when it is too cold to swim in the beach.

We went during Thanksgiving. Even though is was too cold to get in the water at the beach, we enjoyed riding bikes, throwing the frisbee around on the beach, and taking long walks. We did get in the pool but spent more time in the hot tub and playing foosball and ping pong. The campfire at night was great for the warmth!

It's almost always warm enough to ride bikes and at least sit on the beach and watch the sunset. The heated pools are great too. You can still do the nature tours, shopping, movies, golf, mini-golf, climb the lighthouse, take a boat ride, go crabbing, eat at all those restaurants. Have fun!

We've gone to HH when it was too cold and rainy to do almost anything outdoors-February (and a miserable February, it was). I spent alot of time just curled up in Big Murgie's Den with a good book. DH was happy to get to watch ESPN during a weekday in the middle of the day. Chef Gordon had a cooking class one evening. We managed to have a wonderful time despite the weather, but I admit that I saw some parents who had young children with that "We're going crazy!" look in their eyes.
