Disney Abu Dhabi - reckon they will have DVC?

Does it change anything if they use something like idk… a trust, as the in between? Unless, I’ve misunderstood (which I very well could have), wouldn’t an RTU trust would be a much simpler transaction since it’s not deeded? I mean I agree that I don’t think international DVC is coming anytime soon mostly because idk how much interest there would legitimately be and I’m sure DVD has their doubts too. But a trust could open some avenues if they wanted, doesn’t it?
I don't think so. Regardless of how its packaged you are still talking about recording deeds, mortgages, land rights, etc. There would be so many local and legal hurdles - AND even if they did it... would you buy there? It would turn into another Aulani probably.

Disney owns none of the land for the Abu Dhabi project. There will be hotels. But the land, the buildings will be owned an operated by Miral. Disney is only licensing IP, technology and is in a contract for design services. They will also have some upper cast members there to ensure quality. All of this says to me: very unlikely for DVC.

0% chance. Disney doesn’t own the property there. Also, there probably wouldn’t be a sustainable DVC market there… it took a long time for California to even become a sustainable DVC market.
