VGC availability for booking at the end of August (2026) - 7 months vs. 11 months?

We are hoping to stay at the VGC for 2-3 days during the last two weeks of August (2026). I was wondering if that is an issue booking at the 7 month window or should I find someone, or DVC Rentals, to book at the 11 months?

Wanting a studio? I’d say you’ll want to look for a rental. Pretty much all year long those are very difficult to get.

Want a 1 bedroom? It might be possible, though I haven’t paid too much attention there. But I suspect there might be a shot.

Two bedrooms, I have no idea how they will go. There are 23 dedicated though at least.

VGC is always hard at 7 months - especially for a studio or lock off 2 bedroom. You could get lucky or you could have to waitlist. I have had decent luck with the waitlist. The last D23 expo was in August 2024, so the next one should be in August 2026 if they follow the every other year schedule. You will definitely need to book 11 months out if your dates are near the D23 ones. I looked for those dates but did not see them.

Stalking has gotten me 3 nights in a studio for 4th of July and a studio mothers day weekend. People cancel, that's probably the best way to get it.
