Hilton Head in summer?

Is it impossible to get Hilton Head at the 7 month mark during the summer? I would want to go anytime during July or August but I'm flexible as to the exact dates. I'd also be looking at a studio or whatever they have for comparable rooms. Just trying to plan ahead!

Not impossible, I got it at 7 months. A dedicated 2 bedroom Aug 22-29.

If you are flexible, it is possible. We did this twice and were able to get 2 bedroom in July and 1 bedroom in August at 7 months. If you want fri/sat nights, those are the most available. we had a great CM who went week by week from 1st week in June looking for 3 nights sun and thurs until she found third week in aug sun check-in for 3 nights..she was wonderful. We have since added on for the 11 month window for summer.

Studios and 1 BRs are harder to get at 7 months out because there are so few of them. But it's not impossible. I just got back Friday from a 4-night trip that I booked at exactly 7 months out. We were in a 1 BR. So it's possible, but I talked to a woman there that said she tried for a 1 BR but MS told her, "Oh, the last 1 BR just got reserved," so she got a studio. She told me that it was probably me that got the last 1 BR. And I called at exactly the time that MS opened; actually, I called a couple of minutes before and kept hitting redial until I got through. We loved the trip so much, we have decided to add on points there so we can go every other summer.

Has anyone had luck getting a DVC cash reservation in the Summer, especially on Friday and Saturday nights?

What are the chances for getting a 7 month reservation of any kind over the July 4th holiday?

Had large family going. Couldn't get grand villa at 7 months so had to do two seperate.

Must call 7 months to the date and I would be dialing at exactly 9 am when they open up.

July would be harder, August the later part of the month will be easier as Southeastern schools are back in session by the middle of the month. As stated there are fewer studios and one bedroom units than 2 bedrooms, so that makes it even more difficult.

We were able to book a 2 bedroom for this Aug on cash (Sun 23-sat 29th). The high season rates were in effect on the preceeding Sat so we just did priceline and got a room at the Westin for $100. All room types were available when I called but I don't remember how far out that was.

We were able to get a 1BR for the week of 8/17 calling at the 7 month mark- so it is definitely possible- Good Luck!
