Has anyone been to HH in November? How was the weather, was there enough to keep the kids happy?

We have been the last 2 years and had pretty good weather. The ocean is cooling at that time but usually keep the coast from getting to cold.

We have been able to swim in the heated pools and the weather was just right for bicycling, campfires, beach walks and golf. Disney Visa has had a $99.00 per night for a 2-bedroom special during Nov. that is too good to pass up or use point for.

do you have a code you can share with me. That is an awesome rate. I have a Disney Visa but always have problems getting into the site to view the info

I called Disney directly but they couldn't find it

This special that I have seen run by the Disney Visa the last 2 year has not been offered yet for this year. I usually receive a notice in my monthy statement around Aug or Sept. I believe it was for Nov thru Feb excluding the major holidays.

This is the slow time at HH because of school & weather and the resort rarely sells out. Usually someone or myself will post a notice that the offer is available. Keep watching the boards.

Thanks for the info. We are looking to go the first week full week of November so I am hoping the weather will still be nice.

Anyone ever go at that time and has an activity sheet that I can look at?

Still looking for someone that has been to Hilton Head in November

We were there for the first week of Nov 04. According to the weatherchannel.com, the weather was supposed to be high 50's/low 60's. As it turns out, we had low 70's/upper 60's and sunny about 90% of the time. We went to the beach house everyday. It was warm enough to spend two days playing and riding bikes on the beach. The rest of the days we spent at the beach house pool because it was sheltered by landscaping, so the cool breezes didn't bother us a bit.

We have a ds4, so we did mostly early dinners. By 5:00 or 6:00pm it was chilly and pretty dark. In the evenings we wore pants and light-weight long sleeve tops and were very comfortable.

We found there to be plenty of things to keep us busy. We were there to rest, so we spent the first part of each day swiming/playing at the pool/beach. We also spent a lot of time riding bikes and exploring the island. Went to a children's arcade/entertainment center (do not recommend it -- kind of yucky IMO :). Went to a movie. Shopped. Dolphin cruise from Shelter Cove(very nice). Visited Harbor Cove (the place where the lighthouse is ). Story time with Blou Crabbe (excellent). Campfire/smores (excellent). Pingpong, foozball, billiards (fun). Nice workout room. Kids fishing trip. Guided marsh tour.

This was our first visit to HHI. Overall we enjoyed the atmosphere, weather, activity. We would go back again -- even in November. We were lucky to get the Disney Visa $99 deal for a 2 bd villa. That made the trip all the better!

Have fun.

Cabobber, you were very lucky--We rolled the dice on a late March vacation at Disney's HHI resort and Marriott's Grande Ocean and were disappionted in the temperature and the precipitation. We had a couple of nice days but then dealt with rain, cancelled activities, and major resort flooding. I realize that the weather is never guaranteed, but next time I will look for better weather forecasts before I plan my vacation. I think it comes down to what you are expecting and how often you are able to travel.
