Hilton Head in February? April?

Can anyone tell me what the weather is like in Hilton Head in February or in April?

We were there in Feb. 2001 and had temps in the low 80's, however friends of ours were there this past Feb. and had temps in the 50's so it's very iffy. Even in the 80's in Feb. ocean is too cold to swim. I would imagine April is warmer and more predictable.
