Hilton Head in April?

We need a break from the parks (and my disney experience, magic bands, fastpass+... but that's a different thread!). For spring vacation next year, last week of April, we're thinking of trying Hilton Head.

Summer seems to be the prime season for that resort, but it's April or nothing for us next year. My question is: Are operations scaled back in April or is that still a good time to go and enjoy everything the resort has to offer?

The RBC Heritage golf tournament next year is April 11-17 in Hilton Head so the whole island will be open for business.

We are going the last week of March. Have only been in the summer previously but from what I have read there will be many activities to do. April is filling up so I would book soon.

We were there the last week in April a few years ago (when the Heritage was later that year) and everything was up and running. Also very warm, especially if you have an East facing studio or 1 BR in the lodge as we did. The sun really reflects off the water!
