Hi

We were at DVC HH this year the first week in October and LOVED it. The weather was very pleasant, and it was warm enough to swim both in the pool and ocean.

Next year we were thinking of October again, but perhaps over Halloween.

Has anyone ever been to HH during Halloween? Do they have special activities and an opportunity for the kids to trick or treat?

Would it be too cool for the beach/pool by then?

Any advice would be appreciated!

Thank you.

We were at HH this past Halloween with our dd her dh and our 3 granddaughters (age 2 1/2 and 8 mo old twins) We all had a great time, but the weather is slightly unpredictable. We had hoped to participate in the beachside clambake but it was rained out , overall it was warm enough to swim at the pools but a bit chilly in the ocean.

The staff at this resort is fabulous! This was our 3rd HH trip and each gets better than the last.

The festivities for Halloween include trick or treating, they even provide masks for those who do not bring them.....

Since we had planned to leave on Thurs but extended our cash reservation to include Halloweeen, we were not prepared but
while shopping at the Old Navy at the outlet mall, we found costumes for all of the girls for $1.99 (twins play suit), PJs for 99cents and for the 2 yro we bought a really cute costume for $5.

The staff set up stations for trick or treating and then finished with a nice party in the room next to the store.

If you enjoy HH, I'm sure you will enjoy the fun at Halloween!

We arrived the day after Halloween and stayed until the middle of the following week. while I can't comment first hand on Halloween activities, although I know they certainly have them, the weather was perfect, mid 70s to low 80s everyday. We were able to swim everyday. We had a few brief rain showers, but nothing that really held us back. Generally speaking, the island was very quiet, so no problems regarding dinner - reservations not needed anywhere. We probably will be doing Halloween next year as well. Have a great time.

We will definitely be there. Talked with some CMs there over Thanksgiving and they had a lot of fun activities. My kids were listening and decided that they definitely want to be at the resort for Halloween. It sounded like so much fun. Plus we are out for Election Day for 2004 and I can get a head start on Christmas shopping at the Outlets. Just booked my stay today.
