We just stayed at HHI in a 2 bedroom. Our couch was HORRIBLE to sit on. We thought there was something wrong with it. We would feel like we were sliding off of it. We even called guest services and the guy came out and said they are new couches and there have been lots of complaints. We ended up taking the cushions off and sitting on it that way. It is the ONLY downfall of the resort, but I wondered if anyone else felt the couches were bad....we called our DVC rep to let her know they need fixed. We couldn't relax there!!!

I have read this complaint about HHI multiple times. I think someone referred to the sofa as the "ejector couch" or something like that.

We also find the couches uncomfortable. They are overstuffed to the extreme and covered in that slick fabric which makes it almost a game to see who can keep from sliding off the longest. To make matters worse they put those 2 throw pillows on there as if to add an extra level of complexity to the balancing game. I think if the couches were about 6" deeper they would be fine but as they are now there isn't enough flat surface area to allow you to sit comfortably and prevent the back cushions from trying to push you off.

I know that I did. The "ejecto-couch". Whenever I sat on it, I felt like I was about to be launched.

We didn't find the couch comfortable either. What we did was throw some towels on it, with a sheet over that - you didn't feel like you were sliding as much without that slick surface.

Yes!!! Those couches are HORRIBLE:rotfl2: The past few times we've stayed there we have pulled out the bed and sat on that to watch TV. MUCH much more comfortable.
