We were just at Hilton Head over spring break and had some cool weather at first, but then the last few days were beautiful! We didn't notice many bugs while we were there and were wondering if this would be the same case if we visited again in another year during a different time. We were looking at the end of May/first week of June time frame. Does anyone know if there are a lot of bugs like mosquitos, black flies and gnats, roaches at the resort this time of year or would we be better off visiting during spring break again. I know that it would be a warmer in May and early June, so didn't know if that meant more bugs too. Let me know what you think. Thanks, Vicki

We were there last end of May, first week of June.. BEAUTIFUL weather:beach:, didn't notice any bugs, but we weren't really out at night a lot. Heard from the locals that the summers are VERY CROWDED that we were there at a great time. Even though it wasn't "true busy summer season" dinner reservations are a great idea; Restaurants were quite busy! ENJOY if you go; loved HHI!:thumbsup2

Thanks for getting back to me. We loved Hilton Head this past week too, but I just wasn't sure how bad the bugs would be at the resort being it is getting warmer in May/June. It seems like it might be a nice time to visit after the kids get out of school and before it gets too crowded.
