Tried to search for this topic not nothing came up. Looking in to one of these newer hotels. Has anybody stayed here? Any positives/negatives?

Also when walking to the parks. Do we have to stay in manchester ave, then go south on harbor? Or is there a path through Fairfield or courtyard?

You can cut through the courtyard Marriott theme park entrance parking lot to shave a bit of time off the walk. Here is a video.

Hilton Garden Inn Anaheim Resort and Home 2 Suites | Real Time Walk to Disneyland |

We also have room tour videos for both Hilton Garden Inn and Home2Suites.

They share a lobby and Home2Suites has a full hot breakfast included. Plus a kitchenette. No breakfast at Hilton Garden Inn. They also only have valet parking. No self parking.

We enjoyed our stay at both and loved the room size.

Have a great trip!

We just checked out of home 2 and I don't understand what you mean by they share a lobby. Is there another building/set of elevators? I'd thought they were next to each other but not the same lobby.

We thought that as well, but it’s the same lobby for both. Same front desk, etc. We stayed at Hilton garden inn first. Then Home2Suites. Same elevators for both. Our Hilton room faced towards guardians of the galaxy and our Home2Suites room faced the pool and Fairfield Inn.

That's so weird. So are they basically the same rooms? I was disappointed in the bathroom, there wasn't enough light from the light behind the mirror and the sort of rain head shower didn't work well or it was the water, didn't seem like it was rinsing everything from my hair. Didn't have this issue at the hyatt house on katella so I figured it was the shower.

Kind of? Hilton garden inn does not have a large kitchenette. Just a small area with a mini fridge, microwave and coffee pot. Also has a small sink. The theming is a bit different too if I remember correctly.

That’s too bad about the shower. I have really thick hair and low water pressure is so frustrating.

Bumping to see if there are any recent stays Home2suites. Those guaranteed connecting rooms are tempting!
Right now the only other hotel I can find with all 4 of our nights is Hojo, and it seems like a similar walk. 15 minutes?
How was the breakfast?

We stayed at Home2 last summer and I think it will be our go to when not staying on property. My husband is a big breakfast guy and he loved the breakfast offerings. Waffles, eggs, sausage, pastries etc for him and I stuck with my normal oatmeal and yogurt. They had all that and more. The coffee was decent enough, as well.

I remember the walk *seemed* shorter to us than the candy cane inn. Can’t remember exactly but I know it was under 15 minutes to the gates. Maybe 12? EDIT TO ADD: I just looked back at my trip report and it took us exactly 7 minutes from the front door of Home2 Suites to security.

I loved the size of the room. We had the regular studio with two queens and a fold out couch for lounging. More than enough room for the three of us and could easily accommodate 4 or 5 depending on kids ages.

I was impressed by all the storage space as well. We were on a long multi city trip and there was more than enough storage space to tuck all our things away and not be tripping over our gear.

I did laundry one day and it was conveniently located on the same floor as the breakfast room. Easy to throw in a load and go eat. We asked for a room on that floor and they accommodated us. It was not noisy at all since the breakfast room is on the far end of the floor near the gym. The gym looked nice but we didn’t have the time to visit it.

We didn’t swim but checked out the pool area one day. It was quiet and not crowded at all.

The front desks folks were pleasant and the breakfast room ladies were very sweet. All our interactions with the staff were positive.

That’s all I can think of for now. Two thumbs up for Home2 Suites from me.

Thanks for the detailed reply! It sounds like a nice place. 7 minutes is great, I thought it might taker longer.
