Hilton DTD w/ Extra Magic Hours

Was wondering if anyone has stayed here recently and how it was and how was the bus schedule to the parks? Will be in Disney April 3-10 (the week after Easter and I know it will be crazy busy) Anyone have any reports about this place??

We stayed there in December and again two weeks ago. Be sure to get a room key card for each person staying in the room - even kids - as you WILL be asked to show them at the rides during EMH and you will need one key card per rider.

We really like the Hilton - it's clean and much more upscale than the moderates on WDW property. We didn't use the busses since we drive, but they pick up every half hour. You can also walk across the street to DTD.

The Hilton has a 24-hour marketplace in the lobby, which is really convenient if you want water or a snack when you come in late from the parks, or for getting coffee and a quick breakfast in the mornings.

It's a 5 minute walk to DTD. The buses weren't bad but we didn't go back in the afternoon. They come every 1/2 hour in the morning if I remember. We were out there about 8:15 and the bus came at 8:30. When you get to MK you are at the TTC so then you need to take the ferry or monorail. The bus did take a really long time at closing at MK tho.

I stayed there once and plan to stay again next month. This is a great hotel and is right across the street from DTD. Like the previous poster said, it is a 5 min walk - if that.

There is a shuttle from the hotel to the parks, but it is not a Disney shuttle. The shuttles that run at DTD are Disney shuttles, but run only to resorts and not to the parks.

The Hilton in the Walt Disney World Resort participates in the Downtown Disney private bus system to the theme parks. The Downtown Disney buses run all day (from before park opening until after park closing) about every half-hour, and are much better than the transportation offered by most non-Disney resorts around Walt Disney World. (In fact, the buses are more comfortable than Disney's own buses!) However, be aware that the drop-off point is slightly further from the theme park gates than the Disney resort bus drop-off, so there's a little extra walking.

You can catch the bus from the Hilton. You don't have to go to DTD for the bus and if I remember DTD will only take you to resorts so you would have to then take another bus to the parks.
