Hilton Downtown Disney

We have decided to out run the snow coming our way and head down to Disney for a couple of days. We have never stayed here so can anyone tell me about their experience in this hotel. Can I get a room that shows fireworks?

We stayed in December and will be back this weekend. The hotel is a typical 4-star Hilton. The DTD Hilton is the only DTD hotel that can take advantage of EMH, which for us is a huge bonus.

They have a 24-hour market that has sandwiches, coffee drinks, produce, etc. Benihana's is the main restaurant and they also have a restaurant/bar and an ice cream parlour. If you stay on the 9th or 10th floor they have a lounge that serves drinks, coffee, snacks, etc.

You can get a room with a view of DTD, but I'm not sure if you can see any fireworks from there. Our room had a mini-bar refridgerator, so we stuck our water, etc in it.

They have busses to & from the parks that run every 30 minutes. We used our own car so I can't really tell you how whether the busses were on time or not. However, if you have a vehicle it is a breeze to drive to the parks. We had no trouble at all the Week of Christmas.

The rates are pretty reasonable as well. I was looking at this hotel also for a quick weekend trip to visit my daughter. Is there a link somewhere with reviews of this hotel?

We stayed there last April using our Hilton honors points. We were upgraded to a tower suite with a view of Downtown Disney. We had a great view of the fireworks! We also had access to the 9th floor concierge. We would definitely stay there again!
