can you please tell me about this resort? especially interested in the transportation to/from the parks. thanks!

We never stayed at the Hilton, but it's my understanding that about 7 hotels share the buses that run to the parks. They pick up at each hotel until they are FULL. They don't run as often as the Disney buses. It seems to take forever to get to the parks.
And I think the bus for MK goes to the TTC and then you get the ferry or monorail. Someone will correct me if that isn't true.
When we stayed at a DD hotel for a convention, we were less than a block away from the DD Marketplace and I walked down there and got the buses. Since we had park hopper passes, we could do that. It actually was quicker than waiting for the hotel bus.
Also, the hotel buses seem to park out in the lots at the different parks instead of having a space along the sidewalks. That wasn't much fun when you left the park at closing and had to stand out in the lot and wait for a bus!
Good luck and have a great trip.

It is my understanding that the Hilton at WDW Resort is directly across the street from DD Disney. Apparantly if you walk past the pool and cross the street, access to DD buses is easy.

We stayed at this hotel last week and were really pretty happy with it. As far as transportation, the bus was only really full where we had to stand on two occasions during the 5 days we were there. Also, this was during spring break when all the DD hotels were booked, so I thought this wasn't too bad.

Yes, the buses do make stops at other DD hotels to pick up people, but they wouldn't be so full if people from hotels offsite wouldn't come in and park at these hotels and take the buses. This really wouldn't bother me so much, except for one of the times we had to stand, my son was sick with a fever and wanted to sit down. I am also almost 8 months pregnant. So there I am, with a sick child asking "Mommy, we have to stand?" very obviously pregnant, and this one guy sitting in a seat right behind me is bragging about how he is staying at a hotel outside DD and he is using their transportation. It crossed my mind to make a sarcastic remark, since I was probably paying more for my hotel room than he was, and had a legitimate right to a seat, but we were usually the first hotel to be dropped off at and picked up, so I didn't say anything.

The buses do take you to the TTC to be dropped off for Magic Kingdom, and have an assigned parking space in a lot where they drop you off and pick you up. This walk wasn't so bad, and was better than driving our rental car, parking, getting off, etc. The buses ran every thirty minutes and were very timely.

Since my husband and I both have Gold Hilton Honors memberships, we got access to the concierge level for a continental breakfast in the mornings. Also, you could get water at no charge to take to the parks, rather than buying it inside the park. They had hors'dourves (sp) in the evening (shish kebabs, egg rolls, cookies, etc) and soft drinks. The hotel was full when we checked in, so they told us they couldn't give us an upgrade to a bigger room. Our room wasn't ready yet, but when we came back 30 minutes later and got to our room, we were very happy with it. It was a corner room, with two big windows and was actually pretty spacious.

So, basically, we were pretty happy with the Hilton.
