I've stayed at the Hilton many times through the years. As mentioned, it's a large property, and the walk from the parking garage to your room can be a hike (it depends on the location of your room and parking spot). The property received a complete refurbishment about a decade ago (which helped "shrink" it, as it made some areas inaccessible to guests), and "feels" like a typical, upscale, modern Hilton property. Book a room that includes breakfast -- the buffet is huge and really good. As this is a business hotel that caters toward expense accounts, its regular price (as with all its restaurant pricing) is up there, so you'll definitely save money. For more economical options, the hotel has a food court, with ever changing options. Note that during periods of low occupancy, the buffet and food court may not be offered.
The pool is heated and the pool deck is huge. Note that rooms facing the pool can be noisy. There were rooms that faced the
Disneyland Resort, some with views of the nightly fireworks, but I assume that expansion of the convention center blocked this (if it didn't, inquire about them upon check-in; note that they may request a small fee). There's a small fitness center with average equipment as well.
Once Upon A Time you could walk out the back entrance of the hotel, walk across the street, take the tram to the front gate and arrive in just five minutes after you left... but expansion of the California Adventure ended this

. The walk to the main-gate isn't that bad, though. I'd advise against taking the Toy Story Shuttle - it doesn't save time, and you're not suppose to be riding it anyway. The hotel use to have a free shuttle to Disney, switched to ART, but no longer pays for it. So if you're willing to pay, it's an option as well.

Another Hilton property, The DoubleTree Orange, is a better choice IMO. Similar property, nicer pool, and generally cheaper (not only the room rate, but parking and tax rate). The Ayres across the street is my favorite property in the area -- free parking, free hot breakfast and free social hour.
