We just got back from our first trip to California. I was overwhelmed with the initial planning bc there are SO many hotels near DL. We ended up choosing Hilton Anaheim and it was a great experience. I just wanted to throw that out there if anyone is in the early planning stages and trying to decide where to stay. We used Uber for our Disneyland days and it cost about $6 plus tip and took 5 minutes. We had a great trip!

This is where we usually stay. my whole family likes the hotel and we have never had an issue. DD9 likes the kid water area by the pool. They have Starbucks inside and some fast food type restaurants Disney shops. We usually rake the shuttle or come back on the toy story bus.

Thanks for this info. We will be staying here for our visit in Dec. This will be a new hotel for us, but we chose it because my husband has points so we can stay for FREE. It is nice the hear that you enjoyed it. We knew that even if it was not great that we are only there to sleep anyways with long, full days at the parks!

What is the toy story bus and how is it different than the shuttle? Trying to figure out transportstion options for family of four. :)

It is where people park their cars. I think it is called the Toy Story Lot they have a free shuttle that runs to the parks and back. It is technically across the street from the Hilton but the entrance to the Hilton faces another way so about a 3-6 minute walk depending on who you are walking with and your speed. We normally take ART back ad forth because it leaves us right in from of Hilton but when returning if the ART shuttle is not there and Toy Story bus is then we will choose Toy Story one. We never really walk there to go to the parks just to come back.
