We are going for two weeks in July so decided to book at the Hilton. Our first year was at paradise pier and last year we stayed at the carousel. I did not care for the arousel for many reasons and it has definitely turned me off of the harbor properties :(. After looking at many hotels in the area we have decided to try the Hilton. Does anyone have any insight into the queen studio rooms. I like the idea of extra space in the room sine we will be there for so long. Any thoughts???

If it's the room I'm thinking of, then we stayed there for a short 3 day trip in Sept/11. Our experience is that the Queen studio room we has was very large and roomy. There's a mini fridge, sink, coffee maker outside of the bathroom. There is a couch and chairs, and a nice TV. We had a view of the pool area, but found it to be quiet. And the beds were very comfy. The studios are closer to the elevators than some of the other rooms. If you don't mind walking it's a 15 to 20 mins walk to the parks. There's a 7-11 on the corner of Katella and S. Harbor blvd that's great for cheap water and snacks. We really enjoyed our stay there, and the Rix restaurant, while pricey was excellent. There is ART service, but never used it. The pools also looked good as well. Hope that this helps you out.

Hi,

I think I would choose a hotel with a little more room like the Residene Inn Maingate, Homewood Suites, or Embassy Suites. Staying in a convention area hotel for that long wouldn't be my first choice.

We love Residence Inn Maingate for stays like this. Feels more like home.

Just wanted you to know we just got back from the Doubletree Hilton Suites in Anaheim (the one in Anaheim on South Harbor Blvd., not the one in Orange)--and we LOVED it. I have stayed at so many places across the street on Harbor, as well as on property DLR properties. This hotel kicks those others to the curb! We were so pleased with it.

We had a two queen suite, and it was beyond good. We took ART to the parks each day, but it was also walkable. We originally booked at Anaheim Hilton, but whe I went to tripadvisor.com and read the reveiws (Doubletree Suites Anaheim is #4 in Anaheim)--I changed. So nice and plush and perfect! Loved the quiet rooms, soft beds, and free buffet in the morning.

We considered residence inn maingate but did not want a kitchen and wanted a hotel feel. Cost is luckily not an issue. We are coming from Canada and dh will be on business so they cover our plane tix, hotel, rental car and food...it's a pretty sweet deal ;). We still pay a nice bit for our passes and souvenirs but better than paying for everything! Only way we are able to go each year.

We've stayed at many places in area and are staying at the Hilton today and we love it. Very short bus trip to the park. Great pool area. Better then the hotels mentioned except the Disney resort pools. Rooms are very roomy and comfortable and have s great view of the parks. Great for watching fireworks. They do have a good food selection. But they do close early. Only con is it can be crowded at certain times because of conventions. I would recommend it though.m

Thanks for the positive review! If we stay here could it potentially be walked if we needed to (full shuttles, etc)?? Are you using art or the Mickey and friends shuttle? Thanks :)

Also, do you get Disney jr channel there? Do they have in room safes? Is the wifi charge per device or is it one flat daily rate and we can use smartphones, computer, etc?

I hope you're enjoying your trip :)

We really like the Hilton. We usually get a Lanai floor room. The studios are spacious. The fridges are small though. And the Starbucks downstairs is GREAT in the morning.

We usually get the "Early Bird" deal, which includes breakfast daily. Makes a great deal. The buffet breakfast is worth it.
