Hillary Supporters unite part 2; no bashing please

Actually I just want to say I am NOT surprise he is doing well in the primaries. Truth be told though majority of the people sit out the primaries. It doesn't give the whole picture.
Most people who vote in the primaries are the followers of politics.
Sadly most of the general population doesn't really care until the general election.

I truly feel Obama is unelectable in the general election.

Gore or Kerry could not cross over some hard core red states what make you think Obama who is VERY liberal will be able to cross over those red states?
What states that Gore or Kerry didn't win do you honestly think Obama can win?
I am truly curious because I can not see how Obama can win the general election.
Plus don't show me polls, polls can easily be made to favor someone.
I want to know how you honestly think Obama can win some of those very important "purple" states that Gore and Kerry were not able to do.
Plus add the fact that like it or not you will have some Hillary supporters not voting for Obama

As much as I would like to say I will vote Democrat this year, I can't. No, time will not change that only an united ticket would change that.
I also want to add I respect people's choice in who they want to support. I just wish others would give me the same respect!

Besides Hillary is STILL in this thing! Every one is coming on here like she is done in. BOTH Hillary and Obama can not win this thing without the Supers.
It is not over until one of them steps down OR one of them reaches the magic number.
That is the FACT :)

Can I have whatever it is you're drinking?

Well I can only tell you about my personal experience...

I only voted in one primary prior to this one (for Bill Clinton) but I voted in this one and took 3 others who never voted in primaries with me (at least 3 of the 4 voted for Obama).

I did not vote for Gore or Kerry.....so that is why I can believe Obama can succeed where they did not.....

I think there are a lot more out there like me...who are coming out for Obama

so for you its hilllary or the highway?? Well , that will make Rush Limbaugh and his like very happy....:sad2:

As I am trying to be uniting, I still must ask...how can you really believe HRC has a chance at getting the nom without totally imploding the democratic party? And you really believe most people "sat out the primaries" when it has been consistantly reported and even said by the candidates that the primaries have produced record numbers of voters. If you would like to see her continue, going on the attack against a fellow democrat and helping to ruin his chances in the fall then it's okay, that is your choice. But personally, I am listening to every pundit, even those who supported HRC saying that this is basically over and I feel it's time to come together. If you feel Obama is too liberal, oddly enough his platform doesn't differ much from HRCs, then okay vote for McCain, but know that if you choose McCain you are putting a stamp of approval on the policies of GWB, things surely won't be much different. You are right, everyone has their own right to choose, but Obama will be the dems nominee like it or not, all the indicators say so.

Well i was only 250,000 off in NC & 100,000 off in Indiana (in my prediction).

cr*p. (in my gut & in my mind it's over....as much as i hate to say it).

Changing topics....if BO supporters want to win in Nov. (& gain friends & influence people) then they might want to begin by following their leader (& following common sense) by offering olive branches (when they post) instead of trying to win an argument we don't agree with (& they've already won).

Maybe want to drop the lecturing too.

Predictions (which i'm lousy at):

- After a week of SDs going to BO, HC drops out the day after (or the night of WV)....possibly with BO at her side.
- HC doesn't want the VP (& BO doesn't want to give it to her).
- Bill gives a rousing speech at the convention for BO. (& of course HC gives one too).
- FL will be seated with the primary vote & delegates....according to the vote.
- MI will be seated (probably 50/50 or close to it) as well.
- The Dems change their proportional voting to give the "winner" of a state a higher % of delegates (in 2012)
- McCain wins in November.
- HC will take office in 1/13.

I really have to remember to STOP feeding the OS's

I don't think I posted anything inappropriate....

Maybe you should post your truce thread again sometime robin??

I certainly do hope you suck at predictions!

It is really hard to accept Hillary as common when she is able to loan her campaign $11.4 MILLION Dollars! She continues to paint Bush as only supporting the rich, what do you consider the Clintons with all of the new wealth they are reporting? She cannot win and is only giving the republican party free research with all of the attacks she has launched.

Maybe I'll post it every day until everyone is UNITED in hating ME!

Sorry. Not going to happen. You're just going to have to deal with the fact we realize you have a kind and generous heart. :goodvibes :hippie:

Maybe I'll post it every day until everyone is UNITED in hating ME!

If people can hate you with your attitude and the wonderful signature of peace, then I hate those people.

;)

Maybe I'll post it every day until everyone is UNITED in hating ME!

Nope, I don't hate you. Shoot despite what others might think I don't hate Obama supporters either. They are passionate about him, just like I am passionate about Hillary. They think Obama is the best candidate, just like I think Hillary is the best candidate.

You can't (or shouldn't) hate people for their opinions

Robinb....I thank you for wanting to unite...I hope no one took my post as hateful...it was not meant to be, really I want to convince ardent HRC supporters that it is okay to join us in supporting Obama. It REALLY matters to me that we can get together....I respect the fact that there are passionate people out there and I don't mean to hurt them, but I want to try and help us all come together...somehow. :hippie:

Well - there goes my hope for meaningful change in our health care system.

Sorry - not up for reconciliation just yet. Not now, maybe not even later. I mean some of you may think you are offering an olive branch but if you take a closer look at it you may see that what you are actually doing is taking whacks with a stick.

I have long since changed my affiliation from Dem to Ind due to the mess the party (state and national) has created here in Florida. I am so hoping there will be a viable 3rd party candidate to vote for this year. Otherwise - I will have to sit this one out. The only way I will vote for Obama is if Hillary is not only on the ticket - but Obama has adopted her HC plan at the very least.

I thought long and hard before I post this post, so I don't want any one to take it the wrong way, especially the Obama supporters :)
With that being said:

The Democrat progress has been long and hard. Some feelings have been hurt and some ties have been broken.

Now I am not counting Hillary out. I will continue to support her until SHE calls it quits. What I don't like is Obama supporters reaching over here while she is still in the race. Sure the writing maybe on the wall but let us Hillary supporters have our fun and support a candidate we truly believe in.
I am sure a lot of us deep down know it doesn't look good for Hillary but we don't like Obama supporters telling us so. We don't need that and it really doesn't do any side any good.

If the Obama supporters really wants us Hillary supporters to unite with them then you need to wait until HILLARY steps down and then give US some time to heal. Do not expect us to jump on the Obama bandwagon right away. It won't happen. Pushing Obama on us before we are ready will ONLY turn some of us off.

Yes, I have said as of right now I will not vote for Obama but November is a long ways away. I could change my thoughts (stranger things have happened) but telling me to think about the good of the party and the supreme court and telling me I am siding with McCain will NOT get me to change my thoughts. If anything it will drive me further away from supporting Obama.

I know in my heart of heart I will never be able to vote of McCain, but will I be able not to vote Democrat? I have never skip a Presidential election and have always voted Democrat --- could I honestly go against what I have always done in the past? I don't know, but I do know being told I have to vote for Obama or I am not really a Democrat will not help with my decision and will only drive me away.

Obama supporters say they want to unite with Hillary supporters then do not push your candidate on us before we are ready.
We know all the reasons you think your candidate is better then Hillary. We don't need or want to hear them because we disagree. We need to agree to disagree. I will always think Hillary is the better candidate than Obama no matter how everything turns out. No one will get me to change that, don't try to agrue it or change my thoughts, I just ask you to accept it.
I promise I do respect your reasons for supporting Obama even if I don't agree with them.

If/When Hillary steps down you (Obama supporters) NEED to step back and let us Hillary supporters come to terms with anything. We do not need a push, OK? Pushing Obama on us too soon we turn us off. Obama NEEDS us Hillary supporters to win in November so be gentle to us ;)
Most of us probably will come to terms and vote Democrat in November. Heck, maybe I might.
But I won't support Obama before I am ready so do not push ;)

When you push your candidate on us before we are ready you are helping McCain

So all I ask is just give us time and step back. Most of us will probably go over to Obama in November, if need be, just be patient and let us heal from a long, hard fight.

Jacksonsmom:

I agree with you and said that on the Obama thread earlier. I think she has fought hard and done very well and she needs to wait until she is ready to drop out or not drop out and wait until the convention where it is decided. If the tables were turned I would be pissed off if people were telling Obama to drop out. Would I like to see her drop out to make it easier for Obama to win the general? Of course, but I still don't think that should that she be pushed out by the OS.
