Here is a article that sort of coincides with my remarks on the now closed thread. This is in regards to Where is Obamas friends, people from the past...etc

This week we learned the limit of a dream in American politics. At Barack Obama's darkest hour, not one prominent ally came forward to support him. Everyone abandoned Everyman.

No prominent black clergyman came forth to make even the simple point that Jeremiah Wright's notion of the "black church" is but one point on a spectrum of faith. Rev. Wright, now written off as a virtual nut case, got more support from black clergymen than did Obama.

Barack Obama was bleeding by Monday and needed cover. Where, when he could have used them, were Obama's oh-so-famous endorsers: Jesse Jackson, Ted Kennedy, Oprah, John Kerry, Chris Dodd, Patrick Leahy, Tom Daschle, Amy Klobuchar, Claire McCaskill, Jay Rockefeller, John Lewis, Toni Morrison, Roger Wilkins, Eric Holder, Robert Reich, Ted Sorenson, Alice Walker, David Wilhelm, Cornel West, Clifford Alexander, Donald McHenry, Patricia Wald, Newton Minow?

Where were all the big-city mayors who went over to the Obama camp: Chicago's Richard Daley, Cleveland's Frank Reynolds, Atlanta's Shirley Franklin, Washington's Adrian Fenty, Newark's Cory Booker, Baltimore's Sheila Dixon

I loved your post over there on electability, Clinton beats McCain and Obama both in a national level. :thumbsup2

This isn't on the home page of RCP, but if you click on NC, the average is now Obama +7.2 instead of +10.3 that they have on the home page.

Clinton is still leading +2.2 in Indy with her trending up in the latest there.

and the latest poll they show in NC (actual poll, not average) shows Clinton up by 2.

So what happens if she wins NC? :rolleyes1 (or in OS speak loses in the low single digits which to them is the same thing)?

:thumbsup2

YUP. I always ask the people who 'hate' the Clintons..WHY? Never really get a straight answer:confused3

Here's a reason: How about lying like an SOB putting this country through the wringer for 8 months when he knew the truth. Bill really did have sexual relations with that woman, Miss Lewinsky.

Yes, you're right. BILL did that and of course apparently Hillary helped him and was totally involved or else why would it be brought up now? Guilt by association again!

You'd think after this Wright mess, this type of guilt would be tiresome for everyone.

You mean like Obama lied about Wright all this time?:rolleyes1

Ya know that is ONE thing I certainly do not fault him lying for. I can understand why he lied about that. As do 99.99% of married men who do partake of that type of stuff.

And Hillary was responsible for that how? :confused3 Or is every single woman in this country that has had her husband/SO cheat on her at fault for the cheating and should be held responsible for the rest of her entire life for it?

And hey! Bush lied about Iraq and we now have thousands of innocent US soldiers and Iraqi civilians dead because of that lie. Bill Clinton lying about a woman? I could care less.

Good grief, get a grip.

DISUNC asked a simple question and he got a simple answer. End of story.

A simple answer that really made no sense. I'm sorry, but you hate her because he lied? He lied to her as well.

Why are you blaming her for his infidelity. Or do you buy into that old misogynistic idea that if a man cheats it's the wife's fault for "not keeping him happy?"

You can't make this stuff up.

The hysterics is really getting out of hand. FYI, I don't hate her.

Point out anywhere that I said that. Like the crap about Obama and Wright, it would be nice if, for once, some proof was provided instead of just the accusation and "wonderings"....... Aka: Flights of fancy.

They split the delegates and it's a wash in which nothing changes. That's what happens.

:rotfl: What's really funny is that you can't answer a question with a logical answer or without being insulting.

But thanks for that. We've noticed that OS tend to get really snippy when they're feeling the heat from Hillary. So I'll take that as a good sign!

I just wanted to say....back to the main topic of this thread.... GO HILLARY!!!

Because the original answer was to shed some light on why there's a dislike of Clintons. Hillary botched healthcare reform, lied about the Rose Law firm records, pretended her $1000 investment in commodities that turned into $100,000 was just one of those thinds, and was also instrumental in stonewalling when it came to White Water and the Paula Jones affair.

Do you think the righties who are "high-five'ing" you now have forgot that? Hillary's new best friends are salivating over her being the nominee for a reason.

As far as heat from Hillary, that's the last thing on my mind, but I'm not so sure about some.

On a lighter note, the one good thing I could say about Hillary is she's a junkyard dog with a long memory and the Republicans would deserve it.

I just want to say that I thought Hillary did a really good job on the O'Reily Factor last night. I really like her.--She is a tough cookie, and I think she will be able to get things done.

Speaking of O'Liely, does anyone have a link to the interview? I refuse to actually watch Faux News.

That's one of her more endearing qualities, IMO :cloud9:.

That and the "gold brick passing" from the righties when they hear "Hail To The Chief" and Hillary walks in. That in itself is a reason to vote for Hillary if she's the nominee.

It's when they come over here all congratulatory and condescending is when you have to worry for Hillary. This little contretemps is a sign that she is doing extremely well. :thumbsup2

If you'd opened with the answer above, I would have respected that. I disagree with you - but at least it would have been an answer that made sense. Hating Hillary for Bill's infidelity and lies, isn't rational or logical.

And yeah I'm with robinb, Hillary's toughness is one of her most endearing qualities. It's something that's going to come in handy in the general election.

I don't disagree that the Repubs will drag out all that old baggage. But here's the thing. Thanks to the Repubs own pitbull, Hillary gets to just say over and over, "10 million dollars were spent investigating and no wrong doing was every found."

There is also the factor of issue fatigue. Most people when the hear the phrases, "Whitewater, travelgate, etc" their eyes glaze over and they stop listening. That old baggage doesn't have the sting it once did. Because most rational people know it was BS.

On the other hand, Obama's junk? still fresh and stinky. Just look at the latest polls. Those issues have hurt him, they continue to hurt him.

And more then that Obama doesn't handle the adversity as well as Hillary does. Rightly or wrongly, Hillary knows that these things will be brought up. She's always prepared and handles it with a lot of style. Heck Hillary goes into the lions den without even flinching.

Obama on the other hand doesn't handle these things well. He gets upset, he doesn't handle the questions on the fly very well, and he gets pissy with the reporters for even bringing it up. That only makes the matter worse.

So yeah, I'm putting my money on the junkyard dog.

Since there is a proliferation of pit bull threads on this board, the question arises would you bet on a pit bull or a poodle in a dog fight? And make no mistake, the general election will be a dog fight.

All you had to do was ask.

And I'm still waiting for where I said I hated Hillary. Take your time. You keep repeating the same refrain, but like the righties and Obama, you're a little short on proof.
