I don’t think that there is much in this article that most people don’t already know ...

http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20080420/pl_nm/usa_politics_dc

But wasn't the editor of the The Tribune-Review (or maybe it was the entire editorial staff?) anti-Hillary until she showed up in their office and sat down with them?

His commercials run NONSTOP here in Pa. But they still sorta blur together. She does have fewer commecials, but they are very distinctive.

One of them is cool, they say just how bad the Obama Heath Care plan is...and then give you his phone number to call him and tell him to get real!:lmao:

Bill has been to my town, and they had a few Clinton Rallys here...BUT NOTHING for Obama, and he has never showed up here. Maybe he heard about me!:snooty:

:lmao:

Whats the number I would like to call it??????? :rotfl2:

Daily Presidential Tracking Poll

Sunday, April 20, 2008
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Sunday shows John McCain leading Barack Obama by six percentage points and Hillary Clinton by four.McCain leads Barack Obama 48% to 42%. That is little changed from McCain’s five-point lead over Obama just prior to the last debate between the Democratic candidates. The presumptive Republican nominee leads Hillary Clinton 48% to 44%. Prior to the debate, McCain enjoyed a ten-point lead over Clinton. Daily tracking results are updated daily at 9:30 a.m. Eastern Time (see recent daily general election results).
Today’s results mark one of the few times that Clinton runs better than Obama against McCain. It will take a few more days to determine if this is a lasting change or merely statistical noise.

The Rules Are Changing for Obama
A Commentary by Michael Barone

Saturday, April 19, 2008

Barack Obama seemed puzzled. Angrily puzzled. The apostle of hope seemed flummoxed by the audacity of the question. At the April 16 Philadelphia debate, George Stephanopoulos, longtime aide to Democratic politicians, was asking about his longtime association with Weather Underground bomber William Ayers.
The Weather Underground attacked the Pentagon, the Capitol and other public buildings; Ayers was quoted in The New York Times on Sept. 11, 2001, as saying, "I don't regret setting bombs; I feel we didn't do enough."
It was at Ayers' house that Obama's state Senate candidacy was launched in 1995; Obama continued to serve on a nonprofit board with Ayers after the Times article appeared.
Obamaites live-blogging the debate were outraged. The press is not supposed to ask such questions. They are supposed to invite the candidates to expatiate on how generous their health care plans are. Or to allow them to proclaim that "we are the change that we are seeking." Or to once again bash George W. Bush.
There was some of that in this debate. But Obama was asked about his association with the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, his remarks about wearing an American flag lapel pin, his comment that "bitter" small town Pennsylvanians "cling to guns and religion" and his "friendly" relations -- "friendly" is his campaign adviser David Axelrod's word -- with William Ayers.

Regardless of his answers to the "not important" questions, He seemed "puzzled & flummoxed' over the IMPORTANT questions too. Even if they skipped the first hour of the debate, he did horrible the second hour too.

I have to say ABC/Disney is NOT part of Obabamamania!:thumbsup2 Even here on our local PA ABC news, they are really bias against Obama.
He was in Scranton over the weekend, had a huge rally.

When the local ABC news interviewed people who attended, they were either obviously "not of sound mind" or if they sounded even remotely cognizant, on the bottom of the screen it stated where they lived.
Not ONE was from Pennsylvania.

Not that I mind any of this.:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: The rest of the media outlets are biased towards Hillary.

I'm not liking him denigrate universal health care...........

Clinton accuses Obama of Republican tactics
Posted: 03:50 PM ET

BETHLEHEM, Pennsylvania (CNN) – Hillary Clinton on Sunday once again took umbrage at a new Obama television spot running in Pennsylvania that censures Clinton’s universal health care plan. The Obama ad suggests Clinton's plan would force people to purchase health insurance, even if they cannot afford it.

“He persists in it,” she said at a rally here, referring to Obama’s criticisms of her health care plan. "I really regret that because the last thing we need is to have somebody who is spending as much money as he has downgrading universal health care.”

“We need to try to achieve universal health care not create political opposition to universal health care,” she remarked. “That is what the Republicans do, not what Democrats do.”

The Clinton campaign in recent days has criticized Obama for saying that the New York senator has adopted the tactics of her GOP critics.

With time dwindling before Democrats in Pennsylvania head to the polls on Tuesday, Hillary Clinton used the speech here to aggressively push back against an onslaught of television ads from her rival Barack Obama by reminding voters of the Illinois senator's debate performance several days ago.

“This week we had a debate,” she said at the rally. “And it showed you the choice you have. It's no wonder that my opponent has been so negative these last few days of the campaign, because I think you saw a big difference between us. It's really a choice of leadership. I'm offering leadership you can count on.”

Despite polls that show Clinton’s favorable ratings suffer when her campaign rhetoric turns negative, the Obama campaign’s attacks on Clinton this weekend — in TV ads, on conference calls and in mailboxes — have given the New York senator an opening to respond.

Throughout the weekend and across the state, she has done so forcefully, both on the stump and on the TV airwaves.

Her campaign Saturday launched a new television ad attempting to undermine Obama’s outsider message by linking him to lobbyist money, drawing a response ad from Obama calling those charges from Clinton “eleventh hour smears, paid for by lobbyist money.”

It's looking more and more like many Hillary supporters have turned on Obama. Has anyone seen any recent stats on that? That is NOT a good thing IMO.

I agree with you completely. My main support for Hillary is on her plan for Universal Heath Care. We already have enough mis-information to combat out there without other democrats muddying the water. I know that if this man is elected - we will have no hope for UHC.

I WILL not vote for this man. I will be writing Hillary in and working towards getting a larger majority of Dems in Congress. Thinking of this just makes me sad and gives me a sick feeling in my stomach. It is not because I think Obama is a bad man - I just do not see him being able to accomplish much in office.

In fact - I kinda think that is why some of the long time Dem heavy hitters in Congress are pushing for him. My cynical mind sees them as wanting a weaker Executive branch after having to cave to the lock step of the Bush admin for 8 years. I think they believe they can push Obama around. I think they can too. Anyone think they would be very successful at pushing Hillary around?

I can see your point about the Dems in congress wanting a "malleable" Executive Branch.

I also think he'll at least be ONE STEP above Bush - in that he'll speak in full sentences with proper grammar......

Unless he is flummoxed by an unwanted question!

Looks like ya'll's gal is moving way up in the polls. Last I heard she was like 15 points ahead of him in a Nation wide tracking poll of Dems. That's pretty darn good.

I think that Weatherman thing is really hurting and will continue to hurt Obama very bad. He didn't do near enough to distance himself from that guy IMO. Now McCain is on it and is going to drive it home I think.

So far, not a helluva lot is sticking. Pat Buchanan probably had the right idea: Obama has pretty much weathered every storm including the "kitchen sink" which has acted like a boomerang. What that means is, if Obama is the nominee, the Republicans will have to figure out a new way of campaigning beyond the "slime machine". If negative campaigning hasn't worked for Hillary, it won't work for McCain either.

McCain is a Democratic dream candidate:

1) He still supports a war that is going even further south than before

2) He hasn't got the foggiest idea of what to do with the economy except continue the Bush policies that have gotten us nowhere except deeper in the hole

3) He's got too many lobbyists on his campaign staff.

4) That's just for openers

This is a dream scenario.

Oh - I did not realize that we had changed the topic of this thread from Hillary Supporters to the Obama Defense Thread.

I switch back and forth between Fox, CNN and MSNBC in the morning and I think it was on MSNBC that had the nation wide tracking poll with Hill 15 points ahead of Obama among Dems.

You can't make this stuff up. :lmao:

FYI, that was not defending Obama, but stating the facts.

The facts are the facts. You are entitled to your own opinion, but you are not entitled to your own facts. You can continue to believe the moon is made out of green cheese, but to do so and ignore the facts puts people in "Planet Bush" territory.

Btw, at this point, I don't think I have to justify my Democratic credentials to anyone. And I do mean anyone.

Yes he did do terrible at both times when being questioned on his so called friends and just as bad when answering the questions on issues. Yet Obama and his supporters seem to act like the whole debate was jsut on asking him crap.

I agree and have felt that from the beginning. Just seeing Kerry and Kennedy who are and have been wanna be POTUS buddying up with him.

Depends on what news you quote or polls. Some show him way behind others show him even. So coming in here posting one that suits you is like us going into the Obama thread and picking one that suits us.

I went in there last week and one of your posters posted from the Rasmussen report and it was in the morning. I re posted the new one that put Hillary up higher but it was from the current Rasmussen report that same day...just a later one. But it was from the same poll.

As for facts...your facts are as bias as our facts can be so best to keep your facts on your side cause you will only be told you are wrong here as we would over there. Yes I know (as if OS have not told us before) you can post anywhere you want. But you will not like what you read here so best to try not to post because you will get no where.

JMO...you can do what you want.

That tag line of yours is getting pretty old and tired and who asked you to justify squat?

My point is that you do not see the Hillary supporters running over to post on the Obama thread every time something is posted that we do not like or disagree with - speaking for myself - I have NEVER posted there. While I realize we cannot tell anyone that they can or cannot post on any specific thread - why can't you all develop what my Nana liked to call "common courtesy" and respect the intent of the thread? Many of us left the Liberal thread to avoid this kind of back and forth bull pucky and yet it seems like some want to continue it. Why is that? No - don't answer. I am pretty sure I know the answer.

Translated: Don't confuse you with facts. There was misstatement of facts. You preferred the misstatement to the truth.

Got it ........ coming through loud and clear. You won't be confused with facts anymore.

Pardon me, but my facts are not biased. They are directly taken from real websites with real polls. Facts are facts. You don't like the facts. Neither does Planet Bush.
