Great thread guys! I've been following it and I'm de-lurking now just to ask something. It was Keith Olbermann who wanted to make a scandal about Hillary giving secret assurances to the Canadian govermant regarding NAFTA. Now the story proves false. Has he apologized or recanted in any way?

I used to love Olbermann, but his bias against Hillary has turned me off completely. I don't watch his show or MSNBC anymore. If he did not set the record staight then he is not only biased, but also dishonest.

there were 12.....7 Obama and 5 to Hillary.... we seem to get different projections all the time ...got mine from FOX how about you?

not a big deal in the delegates(only 2 difference today) and it is a REP State that we Dems will not most likely not get in the Election and it is another caucus...but it is one more added to the Obama belt.

I would have posted this on the liberal thread,but it would be ignored and I figure most of Senator Obamas' supporters lurk here anyways

The enthusiasm for this election is something that this lifelong Democrat couldn't have imagined. It's unbelievable!

I have for the most point have stayed away from the bickering and the baiting that has gone on from both sides. Most of the time, it makes me laugh. sometimes though I have gotten angry. Some of the stuff posted here is mean spirited and very snarky.

Both of our candidates' views and beliefs are so close in philosophy, it's like comparing apples and apples.

As of right now,Senator Obama has a commanding lead. I know that the super delegates are going to decide this at the Convention and all the debating back and forth between us is not going to change that.
We can only hope they make the choice that will carry our Party to victory in November.

For all of you that support Senator Obama, I hope that all of the bashing of Senator Clinton and President Clinton stops. He is going to need both of them in the general election. Bill Clinton is the biggest fundraiser the Democrats have. He could sell ice cubes to Eskimos. Senator Clinton is going to be involved in the administration somehow. You don't want to hear this, but some deal will be worked out at the Convention. I would be surprised if this didn't happened.

Hi Michael,
I feel that if there is going to be bashing or disagreement of the candidates than that should be kept in that thread...in other words if in the Obama thread one wants to discus how they don't like/hate Hillary that is fine with me but to please not come here and throw that in our face and we should not go into the Obama thread and throw our opinions in there face....makes for bad blood.

The liberal thread should be used to discuss the conservatives and left at this time at that. Only because of the way this election is going. There are a few Obama supporters that come in here and bash Hillary although to them it is there right to go into any thread they want and say what they want...well so be it. I have one person that I have put on ignore.

I have also voted many times (I am 50 ) and have not seen this type of hype in many years but there were and will be again. Many young voters don't remember how messy so many elections have been. Anyway I and the other Hillary posters have no problem coming in here as long as it is kept civil but as some Obama posters have said to me...That's not my call.

I am looking at the NY Times and they have not posted the delegate count, so I was wondering.

The delegate count isn't as important as the vote count.

Since neither candidate will get to 2025 & since BO will end up between 60-160 delegates ahead of HC (no matter what happens going forward), the final delegate count won't be as important as the final popular vote to the SuperDelegates. & it will be the SuperDs who will decide the nominee.

Keep track of the popular vote.

Clinton traveled to Northern Ireland five times as first lady, and was a tireless advocate for the peace process. But she was not directly involved in negotiating the Good Friday peace accord.

She did encourage Irish women on both sides of the conflict to come together and get involved in a process that was dominated by men.

Former Democratic Sen. George Mitchell, who brokered the peace accord, said Clinton was "quite helpful."

"She became quite active in encouraging women in Northern Ireland to engage in the political process and in the peace process, and ultimately the role of women was important in moving the process forward," said Mitchell, who is neutral in the presidential race. I think there's more people in my city than democrats in this state.......

It's fairly easy to track the popular vote in primary states and in states where the caucus is really a firehouse primary. But in some of the true caucus states, the only thing we get reported is the count of the delegates to that state's nominating convention where they then apportion the delegates to the national convention. I'm sure party insiders may have that info, but I haven't seen it published.

Anyhow, I think the Supers should follow the will of the people and that means they should vote the leader in pledged delegates meme coming from the Obama camp rests on a false assumption, namely that the will of the people is actually measured by the pledged delegate count. Not even close. Texas is proof enough of that. The will of the people in Texas was made clear. 51-47. The delegate count doesn't reflect that thanks to the after the vote vote. It also shows that caucuses are notoriously bad measures of the will of the people in and of themselves.
