I don't know. I thought about sending an e-mail to hillaryclinton.com to give her people a heads up about the caucus problems. Somebody told me there should be an "election judge" to advise of the issues.

I heard on the radio yesterday by people who were there, that in many Texas caucuses were BEDLHAM. No "Official" was even at many of them.

Anyhoooooooooo Both Clinton & Obama are complaining about them.

Well, our precinct caucus started late because we had to wait for the list of people that voted. They did not check our registration cards, but they did check our names against that master list of those that voted. I think if the official rules for conducting the caucuses had been published in the newspapers, instead of just delivered to the precinct in a packet, everything would have gone much smoother, and everyone would have known what was going on.

In general, state-wide, I'd have to say the caucuses were poorly planned and poorly organized. I think it is a dumb, dumb, dumb system. BTW both Dems & Reps do this.

and I don't think i posted anything disrepectful or negative about your candidate....

ETA I guess i felt that if someone here was asking why folks on the Obama thread felt a certain way...that I could answer and offer some insight about my postings.

I wonder, reading the Liberal thread...am I the only person in the world who cannot see what Hillary has done that is so terrible and underhanded? It seems to me that she is bringing up points about Obama's inexperience and lack of a concrete plan. She has been doing this from the beginning, but it is only as of Tuesday that she became such a "monster." Before that, posters were coming over to this thread to offer condolences and tell us what a good campaign she had run.

Well that's because we are on the other side of the fence....if we were Obama supporters we may see different and vise versa for them...I don't see it either ..to me she is showing she is a fighter ...... I also no longer post on the liberal thread and will never post on the Obama thread because if i went in there I would be afraid they would chop my head off at the mention of a disagreement about what they say about Hillary or if I state something I feel about Obama...nope...not going there!!!!!!

I like to stay here in the comforts of my own home here I can spread the Hillary love and the Obama yuckyness that I feel with out being smashed on.....I am not called a traitor in here for visiting the Conservative thread and feel happy to share with friends how we all feel about our Candidate.

I had stayed away from the Obama thread till reading it yesterday and that is no place I want to play...to many bully's there are many in there that HATE and I mean HATE Hillary. I have no problem with Obama supporters coming in here as long as they realize that when they walk in this door that they may not like what they read and that there is no changing any of our minds and bad mouthing Hillary is not going to put us on there good side...

so save the Hillary bashing for the Obama thread please...if you don't like what you read and you feel that you need to post something out of anger than just turn around and close the door behind you and go vent it in the Obama thread.

This is our home to spread the love.....I hope you can understand that...

Disboard rules state that all threads are open to anyone that wishes to post in them. If an Obama supporter is reading this thread and sees an attack - as you have done many times - not on the candidate, but on US, his supporters, then I think you'll find that we are very much going to post a response.

Debate is something altogether different, and I've suggested other places for that kind of discussion. But I don't imagine too many people are going to sit around and be called "mindless kool aide drinkers" without responding.

I can't really stomach going on the Liberal Thread lately. Give me a few days to calm down about the venom spewed there today before I brave it again.

I also was hoping for some answers from Hillary supporters. I think I pretty much know what your opinion is on the topic.

I am thinking. Hence my post. However, I really do believe that she did nothing wrong. It's a presidential campaign, not a girl scout meeting.

That is my opinion also...to me this election seems to be the nicest one I have ever seen and being 50 I have seen many. Either so many of the Obama supporters have not and are very young or don't remember or don't' care to remember how elections are and can be and many have been brutal and yes indispicable but this one does not even come close to any I can remember ..Elections are tough and things come out and it is a battle for the most important job in the world..and to just hand it over to someone...anyone without testing them is the most ridiculous thing I could imagine.

If Obama is to be our next POTUS well than he needs to fight for it....and fight hard.....not just sit back and say.. well I wont do that I wont throw sand in the sand box...that is not a Pres i want I want someone who shows they will fight and not just say a speech about it...

I get that but you dont debate and IMO have no idea how to...your opinion is the only one that seems to matter as many have PM's and told me to ignore you...and yes a number from the liberal thread when we were having our disagreements when I use to go there.

You are known by many as a trouble maker and if that makes you proud than so be it. It is always about you....you shout about how bad Hillary is and you are one of the worst... you like and get pleasure out of saying that you insult no one it is you that are insulted apone.

Also for you information I never said that no one could post here I asked to understand that when coming in here you may not like what you read and that if it is going to cause bad blood than you may want to turn around and walk out....but sure you will find a way to twist those words into a way that will suit you.

I really have to question what people expected at the caucuses. The Democratic party has been essentially dead in Texas since Karl Rove began writing his playbook for Bush and ousted Ann Richards. There haven't been that many Dems to volunteer and most of the precinct chairs are very old. I've been to caucuses before in my precinct and while I was happy to see such a large turnout for both Hillary and Obama, it irks me to no end that people were complaining about how it was run and they have never bothered to show up before this year. (Sorry for the run-on sentence! )The caucus thing is not new; it just has never been well attended because the nominee has always been decided before the Texas primary. And because people have so many questions about the primary and caucus, may I suggest you read up at http://www.txdemocrats.orgto answer your questions.

Since when is Keith Olbermann and former Senator Hart the voice of the Democratic Party?
Mr. Olbermann got his start nationally reading sports scores on ESPN and if Senator Hart could have kept it in his pants (Donna Rice/Monkey Business),he might have become President.
I take whatever these two gentlemen say with a grain of salt.

I don't see where she has done anything wrong either. I just see her as a fighter. I really think that she's damned if she does and damned if she doesn't (in many people's eyes- obviously not my own). If she does not go on the offense, she can't win. And if she does stand up and fight, then she is going negative or perceived as a *****. I see nothing wrong with any of her ads or comments that she has made.

They aren't the "voice of the party." But both are longtime Democrats that, prior to recent events, had not commented negatively about either Democrat, nor would I ever expect either of them to do so. I simply offered them as two examples of people that also saw things the way Obama supporters do in terms of the negativity of the campaign.

I wouldn't pass this off as simply uninformed first timers. It was obvious in the weeks leading up to the caucuses that they would be well attended. The county chairmen could have done much more to help educate us. And in fact, you are correct, these caucuses are not new. But why then had so many Texas natives, who were born and raised here, never heard of them before this election? Both parties, Dems & Reps, have never been diligent about informing voters of these caucuses, let alone those of us that moved here from closed primary states. When I lived in California EVERY registered voter was mailed a voters pamphlet containing a sample ballot, voting instructions, voting locations, a summary and full language of any amendments for each and every election by the secretary of state. While I agree it is the responsibility of every voter to know the mechanics of voting, it is also the responsibility of the state and the respective parties, to make that information easily and readily accessible to all voters, with or without the internet. Newpapers would be a good start.

There needs to be a single, universal voting system nationwide.

I don't know that there are a lot of people angry at him. Those that are may well be because, (1) they still believe that he is a Muslim, (2) he isn't a patriot because he doesn't wear a flag pin, or (3) because he is not a white male

C) I don't give a damn what race he is either
