NOT AT ALL! How many times do I have to write that when ONLY DEMOCRATS voted in Democrat primaries...Hillary won.

The SD were designed to answer the problem. THEY ARE NOT THE PROBLEM.

Yup when the 'voting public' is republicans &independants voting in Democrat primaries...I absolutely agree !

It goes both ways. Look, Hill won TX last night. El Lardo Limbaugh told his followers to vote Clinton in TX yesterday. I have read numerous posts on Free Republic asking other cons to vote Clinton, or Obama, so it definitely goes both ways. But to say the the Democratic voters of a state like, say, TX are not as important as the voters of a closed primary state like say a Florida, is a pretty serious slap. That attitude has the potential to lose Clinton a voter or two in the upcoming primaries if you ask me...especially when the party's leadership seems to be hinting that the supers should follow the pledged delegates' lead. All I'm saying is that to me, it appears to be playing with fire.

Last night on FOX they were saying that polls done were showing that there were more REP showing up voting for Obama and not Hillary.....

But even with the REP showing up anyway they could not make that much of a difference. Also they were showing in the Caucuses that there were many REP voting Obama at night after they voted REP during the day for there candidates...so it could be said either way...who really knows for sure :confused3

Any of the Hillary supporters or Obama supporters here or anywhere else has no say in any of it....we can complain all we want about fair or unfair but it will come down to the SD and that will be that IMO...

I am 100% cool with that! Just so long as we all know what time it is come November and get out the vote against McCain!! :thumbsup2

I have a question that is Off Topic.

On the radio I hear Obama supporters say they think he can unite the country. Are they talking about the citizens or the Congress?

Not all Republicans are voting for a Dem candidate to try and subvert the process. I actually know a couple that really would rather have a Dem president.

If Michigan and Florida delegates had counted, how would that affect the current difference between Clinton and Obama?

The conservative thread is back to making Monica/blue dress jokes.

Well you didn't expect anything new or forward looking did you?

Remember what McCain said about Romney:
Senator McCain said:
"Never get into a wrestling match with a pig. You both get dirty -- and the pig likes it."

I get the impression that they mean both. However he's certainly not uniting the party, at least not yet.

I wish that they could work out a deal where they could be on a ticket together. I don't think that either would want to be VP though.

What a muddle.

I'm not convinced this is destructive yet. I'm still basking in the glory of having two great candidates.

A paired ticket would be great--I hope there is some pressure from the party luminaries on both of them to move in that direction.

Who would be on top?

I cannot see Hillary deferring to Barak and I can't see him deferring to her either. The supers would still have to decide who the nominee is before any sort of joint ticket could be negotiated.

That's NOT what I am saying. I am saying that the REPUBLICAN & Independant voters of the Democrat Primaries should be ignored by the SD's!

This has been one of my qualms with Barak candidacy. He he saying he will 'Unite the Nation". It sounds good, but I say the Nation is NOT divided. Congress is.

Not all Republicans are voting for a Dem candidate to try and subvert the process. I actually know a couple that really would rather have a Dem president.
Then they should save that vote for the General election, not for the Democratic primaries.

If they counted what they have now, that would put Hillary over Barak.

Yep, that would have to be decided -- since it isn't likely to be decided by letting the contests run their course, perhaps it's time that discussions started.

And if they throw Edwards into the mix somewhere, I will certainly follow lockstep. I hope that his discussions with the candidates lead to something. :thumbsup2

I don't think the Obama team is quite ready for that yet. I really think they believe he can pull this out and not have to condescend to consider the VP slot.

Notice how Edwards still hasnt throw his support to anyone!

You in me both. I think we should get everyone on the same bandwagon and take back control of this great country. We get these two together, and the next sound you hear will be a big broom sweeping all of the ugly remains of this mess of an administration out of town for good.

Oh, and given the trouble the Reps are having raising ANY MONEY AT ALL, we may have to pay for the moving trucks. :thumbsup2

U-Haul :thumbsup2

I'm sure I know which one should be given the top slot--just that people of influence should get together and start talking about it.
