Supers will flip flop to whoever looks like he/she can deliver the most political goodies after the election. That's why they were put in place to begin with. No one wanted Carter, yet he won. Now Dem supers have to decide if they want Clinton, who won the base handily as well as the big swing states or Obama who is doing remarkably well with independents, who are necessary to any general election victory.

It's interesting to me how the Obama people seem to overlook the fact that Obama can't get to that "Magic Number" either.

I wonder if that's because his supporters are not really politically seasoned. This is the first campaign for many of them.

I think we Obama supporters understand that. Plain and simple, Barack can't get there without the supers. However, notwithstanding an Obama meltdown of massive proportions, the numbers also prove that Hill can't beat Barack with regular delegates even if she wins the majority of the vote in the rest of the contests, including Florida and MI. Basically, Hillary would have to make the case that the supers should overturn the votes of the "people" and vote based on what they felt was just. Good or bad, it's how the party works, but it's very tricky business to be sure!!

The math isn't there for Obama either. He can win 100% of the vote the rest of the way and without the supers, he doesn't win.

If he has a problem with supers going against their voters wishes, why didn't he demand Kennedy change his vote after Clinton's double digit victory?

If she wins almost all the big states, which she has, continues to do as well or better among dems, she has a case to be made for herself.

Since Kennedy hasn't flipped over to the Clinton camp, how come it's being spun if she wins with the supers, she 'is stealing' the election?

Hillary won all the "Democrat" vote only Primaries. She has proved that the Democrat party wants her. The SD SHOULD be looking at these numbers.

I was switching between CNN, MSNBC, and FOX last night and I heard it on 2 different ones. I just don't remember which one's. I don't think I heard wrong, but according to the CNN link, she's looking good with cash in hand. I have to go and donate myself later today to help her come into PA and do well there.

I don't either...I've said it before and I'll say it again...the system sucks! If I was voting in Massachusetts and I knew that my senators voted against my wishes, I'd vote 'em out of office in the next Congressional Primary. In a perfect world, we'd have no supers and the actual voting public would make the final call.

Unfortunately for Hillary, Obama has an unsurmontable lead with regular delegates and the only way she can win is with the appearance of some sort of under the table dealings to give her the nod, even though Obama holds Kerry and Kennedy's super votes. I'll say it again...the system sucks!!

FTR, Obama was on the Today Show this morning and said that the superdelegate process is the rule, that he's willing to play by the rules, and if Hill got the nod because the supers got behind her and selected her as the nominee, he would not consider it stealing the election. Just wanted to put that out there for the sake of party unity. Don't get me wrong...I love Hillary, I just like Barack a little bit more

Someone please explain to me the negative campaign label that keeps hitting Hilary? IMO, this has been the most clean campaign in memory. The only time I thought things were even resembling "dirty" was when Bill lost it for a few days and conversely so did Michelle but to call this dirty when in our last couple of elections we had the "swiftboating" of Kerry and that auful GWB smear job on McCain...

Something interesting....Obama was just on CNN saying how well he did in Ohio & Texas because going into the Primaries, "THEY" had him down 20 points in the polls.

I dont ever remeber him being 20 points down in the polls in these 2 states.

That's a good perspective. Although I was unhappy with the "3am" ad and the comment about Obama's qualifications being having made a speech 4 years ago, you are quite right in pointing out that Swift Boating this is not.


Dirty and ugly is what will be seeing in August because they have nothing good to say about McCain, only nasty things to say about Obama and Hillary.

So the Obama camp's spin on last night results is that OH and TX are moral victories and he stayed ultra competitive on pledged delegates. I'm thinking that's his best, and only, move...

I think she will get them because in all the DEM ONLY primaries, she won! This proves that she is the Democrat Parties choice.

No I havent yet. However there is still 1060 delegates left too go!

No, I don't think so. One delegate would be very bad. In fact, 100 delegates would be very bad. I think this elections screams for a brokered deal.
