Hi Hillary supporters...I have started this because I was tired of the bashing about Hillary. She is ahead in Delegates and popular vote yet many still say she has no chance.

I am tiered of even some of the Obama supporters starting to bash her so started this thread.

Also, those that are voting for Hillary or Obama, if one or the other is not elected, come join us :thumbsup2 one for all and all for one I say.

so I hope you will join me. :thumbsup2

I like her and Obama but I get your point about the bashing going on. The Liberal thread is quite a bit different nowadays.

Oh well, I guess it's just politics. I will still vote for whoever gets nominated, at least I think so. I like them both and think that they would both be good leaders. That is, if Obama can handle what would likely be thrown at him by the opposing side. No bashing meant against him by saying that - I'm just wondering if he is experienced and strong enough to deal with it.

I agree I like both and will vote for Obama also :thumbsup2 but the liberal thread at times seems to be turning into a thread about the love of Obama and has gotten off topic.

that is whay i posted that info about Obama to show that he is also a politician and he has his downfalls.

I like the liberal thread to discuss the issues and the Dem party...and to also discuss the difference about the Rep thread....not the love of Obama...

Yes, this adoration of Obama gets to be a bit much sometimes doesn't it? I think that defeating McCain should be at the top of the list because that's still out there. Some people have already decided that Obama has won the whole thing and no, there's a ways to go yet!

I must admit that it does look bleak for Hillary though. Too bad, I think she's a fine candidate but of course if she loses she can still do lots of good in the Senate.

Yes...even if she does not win that is fine because she will still continue on and with another Dem as POTUS things she has wanted to push through will be easier.

Also her and Obama are so close on the issues that they can still bounce off each other.

Just don't want another Rep in there. don't think that will happen however unless the Dem party falls apart over this and they loose all perspective on what is important and not so much of whether Hillary or Obama get in...just that one or the other dies.

It's kind of worrisome. It looks like Obama will have enough support to push on through if he keeps the momentum going but I've seen many Hillary supporters start to get angry and I've been feeling really frustrated myself and I like them both! I just don't want to see the Democrats implode when they have so much going for them this year.

Eh, I think I'll just take a break from the Liberal thread. There's other places.

Thanks for opening this thread. It was good to talk about this. :)

I'm sure we will get some posters that are both Hillary and Obama supporters in here..maybe I should change it to....

Hillary/Obama supporters unit :confused3

Maybe not because some times wilth all the hub bub about Obama it is nice to take a break....I added this to the first page...Also, those that are voting for Hillary or Obama, if one or the other is not elected, come join us :thumbsup2 one for all and all ofr one I say.

I started out at the beginning of this campaign thinking I had it made. I loved Edwards, Clinton and Obama (in that order) and thought no matter how it ended up, I couldn't lose because I'd be voting for a candidate I liked. But now I don't feel so lucky. If Obama wins I will vote for him, but it will be the hardest vote of my life because I've come to really dislike him.

In all fairness it's 50% him and 50% his supporters. This notion that he is some sort of annointed one is giving me a very sick feeling of deja vu. I remember that same mentality when Bush ran. I am not saying that Obama is as incompetent, ignorant or evil as Bush. It's more about the "cult of personality" thing that's going on. Any substantive questions about him tend to be ignored, dismissed, or treated with condesendingly; all because he's inspiring.

Personally, I don't find it inspiring that he calls his health plan "universal coverage" when it doesn't come close to that. I don't really feel like he "owns" his policy with the same command that Hillary does, and certainly not with the same confidence with which he speaks of "change" in the abstract.

anyhoo I guess turned into more of a rant. Sorry about that.

Go Hillary!

I plan to do my own research about Obama; i.e. his voting record and so on. I'm not one for inspiring speeches and his fans have little to say about his policies. I'll look into what he's all about away from all of the fuss just to find the substance that I assume is there.

I already feel comfortable about Hillary because it's by comparison easy to figure her out. Obama not so much.

At least our primary vote will actually mean something for once Planogirl!!

I agree...I truly like Obama but am also getting annoyed about the whole thing...Me thinks if it keeps up Obama will get big head!

I just want a Pres. that will do a good job and think that both will however think Hillary's plans are layed out better and he just seems to keep saying I will give you this and I will give you that ...and I worry about where all the money is going to come from:confused3

He sounds to much like to many before that have made sooo many promises and could not follow through...

God help us if McCain wins...

I cant wait to see how you all turn out in Texas...what is the hub bub around Texas from people you know?

Yes, for once! Maybe we can even vote for a Democrat in the actual election for a change. Eh, probably just wishful thinking but one can always dream.

I keep hearing different things depending on who you ask. I haven't seen any polls yet but plan to keep an eye out for them. I think it will likely be a tight race but strange things keep happening so who knows? :confused3

It would be sooo perfevct if we had a Hillary/Obama or Obama /Hillary Dream ticket....I think them working together could change so much. they both have there strong points and weak points but together ..

WOW I think a true difference would happen:thumbsup2

Here knowledge and experience and his likability and Hope, and put there passions together we could move mountains :thumbsup2

In reading all the political threads I was beginning to think that there weren't any other Hillary fans on the boards other than me and about 3 other people;) , glad to have found this thread.

Kikifan, I'm with you on the having a rough time voting for Obama due to the "anointed" thing as well. I think he has laid out precious few plans for how he will do things, but relies on the rhetoric of "yes we can" and "America is ready for change". America is always ready for change after 8 years of almost any presidency, but this one particularly. I wish people would realize that he is not the only person capable of bringing new thoughts and ideas to Americans. I live in NY, so Hillary is my Senator as well. She's done a good job here, and is generally well liked in the area of NY I live in, (outside the city about 100 miles).

I also totally agree with you about any substantive questioning of him being treated as ridiculous. People forget that inspiring is great on the stump, but does little in Cabinet meetings and with foreign relations. With the limited experience that Obama has, I wonder what type of Cabinet he would put together. Spending such a short time in the Senate doesn't give you many long, trusting realtionships you can fall back on. I am very worried that if he is elected after his 4 years of trying to make Washington work the way he wants it to, but not necessarily the way it does, (not that the way it does is good, but it can't be fixed as easily as "yes we can") the Democrats will once again lose the White House because Republicans will have had time to recoup and reorganize after Bush.

That all being said, I just don't like him. If he is the nominee, I will have a hard time going to the polls this year. I can;t imagine myself ever pulling that lever:sad2:

So is this a Hillary thread or a "bash Obama and his followers as cultists" thread?

I'm supporting BOTH because I believe either one or both of them would be great for this country and I'm really tired of the bashing from both sides.

Another Hillary fan checking in....

I was undecided for a long time. I like the spirit/enthuasim of Obama but I think Hillary will be a much stronger leader. However, if he wins the nomination, I will vote for him.

I hope Hillary Wins. I am to the right, However I would find Hillary Acceptable. I liken Obama's campaign to Seinfield, A Show about Nothing.

I feel the same way. She can do a great job! Can't wait until she wins Texas, Ohio, and PA!

I just wish that Hillary would get her "stuff" together re: campaigning in Wisconsin. I went to her website on Sunday and searched for "Events" in Wisconsin and found nothing in Madison. I find out that Chelsea spoke at the University yesterday after the fact. While Chelsea is not Hillary, I probably would have gone to listen to her anyway. She only drew a couple hundred people.

I plan on going to Obama's speech today at the Kohl Center which holds 17,000+ people and it will be full.

I don't mean this as a bash. I am still a bit on the fence (even though I have "Obama Mama" in my signature) and I would like to see both candidates in person.
