I am a proud Hillary supporter. I attended the Elton John concert Wednesday night. It was a lovely site to see Hillary, Bill and Chelsea together on stage. The audience was inspired by them. The concert was great, too, especially since it was my 40th birthday present.

:bday: what a fun B-Day present....I have seen Elton about 5 times and love going to his concerts. Would have gone to that one for sure if it had been closer.

Did you take pictures...can you post one for us?

I got that ticket invitation - but couldn't afford to give any more moola right now!

I figured - he'd fill in the seats without me. ;)

Curious to see - how did the crowd take the misogynist comment?

Gee thanks...:flower3:

I try to post positive Hillary articles - knowing full well, I am preaching to the choir!

Really? Here are two:

He wasn't shocked that a farmer knew about Burma. He was surprised to be asked about it by a farmer, as opposed to be asked about something a little closer to home.
"SUPRISED' , "SHOCKED"...."POTATOE" "POTAHTO"!

The simple fact that Obama was SUPRISED that a farmer in IOWA knew anything about Burma, proves what a Elistist he truly is.

"Everyone supporting him is a politician"? Really? So the millions of people that have voted for him are all in politics? The 1.3 Million that have donated to his campaign are all politicians? The endorsements he's gotten from millions in trade unions across the country are all from politicians?.
Where ar ALL the REAL PEOPLE who have been helped by Obama with all his past experience?:confused3
Millions of people who voted for him ar believing a pack of lies that HE is telling him.
The trade unions that support him are run by POLITICAL people! And I do believe "millions in trade unions " is a bit of a exageration!:rolleyes1

Yes, you lied to the woman.
NOPE! As Jack Nicholson ( another Hillary supporter) would say, "You cant handle the Truth!"

Having since fact checked it, is is a misleading article. Factually, it's correct, but it spins things drastically in Obama's favor. That's why I posted the "little disclaimer".

Wow...more insults. Now I remember why I stopped reading this thread. You guys have fun. :thumbsup2

From fact check org

A widely forwarded e-mail claims that Obama's bills are more substantive and numerous than Clinton's. Don't believe it.
Summary
A misleading e-mail has been making the rounds, alleging that Clinton has fewer legislative accomplishments than Obama, and that they are less substantive. We've had questions about it from a number of readers, and blogs have jumped into the fray. So what's the real story on the Senate careers of the Democratic presidential candidates?

We find that the e-mail is false in almost every particular:

It sets up a face-off between apples and, well, broccoli, comparing only the Clinton-sponsored bills that became law with all bills sponsored or cosponsored by Obama, whether they were signed into law or not.

It includes legislation Obama sponsored in the Illinois state Senate, a very different legislative body.

It tells us that Obama has sponsored more legislation than Clinton, when in fact he has sponsored less.

It implies that Obama has passed more bills into law than Clinton, when the opposite is true.
Contrary to the e-mail's assertions, Clinton's and Obama's contributions are not qualitatively different, and quantitatively, Clinton has the edge.

And AGIN Obama is the #3 man for MOST MISSED VOTES while being a Senator. When his he going to have is NATO hearings?????

Obama refuses to pay street money

Fourteen months into a campaign that has the feel of a movement, Sen. Barack Obama has collided with the gritty political traditions of Philadelphia, where ward bosses love their candidates, but also expect them to pay up.

The dispute centers on the dispensing of "street money," a long-standing Philadelphia ritual in which candidates deliver cash to the city's Democratic operatives in return for getting out the vote.

Flush with payments from well-funded campaigns, the ward leaders and Democratic Party bosses typically spread out the cash in the days before the election, handing $10, $20 and $50 bills to the foot soldiers and loyalists who make up the party's workforce.

It is all legal -- but Obama's people are telling the local bosses he won't pay.

That sets up a culture clash, pitting a candidate who promises to transform American politics against the realities of a local political system important to his presidential hopes.

See the rest of the story in today's Los Angeles Times:

Obama's posture confounds neighborhood political leaders sympathetic to his cause. They caution that if the senator from Illinois withholds money that gubernatorial, mayoral and presidential candidates have willingly paid out for decades, there could be defections to Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York. And the Clinton campaign, in contrast, will oblige in forking over the money, these ward leaders predict.

My guess is Obama wants to hold that cash for the SD's!

HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES BACK!T

he one piece of good news for Barack Obama in Rev. Jeremiah Wright's latest plan for a return to the pulpit (of a sort), is that it will occur five days after Pennsylvania's April 22 primary (though in plenty of time to have a potential impact on the May 6 primaries in North Carolina and Indiana.

As many of you know there was protest against media bias today in Rockefeller center which was organized by Hillaryclintonforum.net
I thought you might enjoy looking at some of the pictures!:thumbsup2

Great pictures thanks :thumbsup2 MSNBC is one of the worse along with Keith Ob.
Cant watch Keith anymore. He is very much a womanizer. Glad to see that we are not the only ones who feel this way about theses 2 networks.

I can as mentioned watch Hannity easier....I at least expect him to be more radical about the Dems but when someone like KO who is a far left DEm does it also like Dick Morris it just pisses me off.

they say Hillary is tearing the party apart...it is the Media and the clowns that are on there. We need to get back to researching facts and not just getting on the news and telling what they think they know....and that goes for researching all the Candidates. Hard to believe what the media says about any of them.

a big GEESH

I have come to the decision that after reading the Obama thread I will never go back to the liberal thread again....even during the General. I would much rather go into the Conservative thread and debate them than back in there.

And if Obama wins there will be no living in there ...and if Hillary wins there will be no living in there so hope if ya all leave ya all drop in here and say hi to me  ;)

So what do ya think about how Obama handeled Carter going to talk with the Hamas.. Obama was like ..well he is a private citison so he can go if he wants....:rotfl2:

I think he wanted to tell everyone that ..Heck no he should not go...but that would have sounded a bit hypocritical since one of his mantras is to speak with anyone no matter how much of a war criminal they are.

That does make me nervous that he thinks that he can make piece with someone like Ocmanaminajhon (spelling please :lmao:) from Iran...there is no making peace with a man like that.

I worry that Obama would go over to Iran and Ocman telling him..."O sure we want piece and I am not making WOMD..I promise I'm not" And Obama coming back and saying Well I talked with him and he assured me that everything is okay and well I believe him but will keep an eye on him :confused3

I m afraid that he is so against war that he will not go there if need be even though he says he will. I hate war also and want out. But with all that I still don't know where he really stands on the issue....I mean really stands except for a few I would not hesitate if need be....

We know that Hillary would go ......without a doubt. She will take no crap from anyone but at the same time do everything she could to make piece first. But have enough sense to realize that people like Ochman will never change and only do what he can to destroy us.

OMG can you believe he said this.....does he think that this will get him votes:confused3 the whole story of what he says gets to me but the last sentance is a doozy...talk about insulting the persons that you want voting for you on the 22nd. DISUNC are you like this...are you in PA clinging to your gun, religion or feeling antipathy against others that are more fortunate than you ?

Think Obama could ahve worded what he was trying to say a little better yet still got his point across. He seems to always do this when he does not have a written speach to go by. Wonder how this will interfere with some o fthe PA voters...

Hillary Clinton and John McCain both ripped into Barack Obama Friday for reportedly saying residents of small-town America “cling” to interests like guns and religion because they’re bitter over lost jobs, a remark his opponents interpreted as arrogant.
The Huffington Post reported that Obama made the comments while speaking to a group of wealthy California donors in San Francisco over the weekend. The Post quotes him specifically singling out towns in Pennsylvania, where he’s trying to woo voters and overcome Clinton’s lead in the polls before the state’s April 22 primary.
“Pennsylvanians don’t need a president who looks down on them. They need a president who stands up for them, who fights for them,” Clinton said in Philadelphia Friday afternoon, citing the Obama quotes and saying the Pennsylvanians she’s met aren’t bitter, but “resilient” and “positive.”
“It is a remarkable statement and extremely revealing,” McCain adviser Steve Schmidt said. “It shows an elitism and condescension towards hardworking Americans that is nothing short of breathtaking. It is hard to imagine someone running for president of the United States who is more out of touch with average Americans.”
Schmidt also said it shows Obama views the people he’s trying to relate to with “contempt.”
The Obama campaign has neither confirmed nor disputed the account in The Huffington Post.
The site quoted him as saying: “You go into these small towns in Pennsylvania and, like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing’s replaced them. And they fell through the Clinton administration, and the Bush administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are going to regenerate and they have not.
“And it’s not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.”

some of the media is running with it and some are saying no big deal it's all true what he said...but in there next breath they say but ....did ya hear about what Bill said today :confused3 :rotfl2:

So wverey found it important to copy this and quote it on another thread and put "See I prove my point" ...it was in the new obama thread not about this with carter but about his new remark of small town Americans...

this is what I posted in that th=read to him and in the Obama thread ...

Wverey...by the way if you have something to say about my post than quote me in the thread that the post is in...do not drag my posts from my Hillary thread into anyother thread non related to the subject to prove a point you have....that is rude. My post was about Carter not Obamas new blunder.....

Not to mention how many other times you may have used my posts from threads to other threads and how you may have added things into them that I did not write to prove a point.

I and everyone else does not read every post on this board. If you found it that easy to copy my post and move it over here than wonder how many other posters you have done this to.

Leave my posts where they!!!!

I wanted to add something at the end of it but did not want points.

I have been told by Chobie in the Obama thread to go cry it to my bosom buddies in the Conservative thread. wasent that nice popcorn::

Clinton hits Obama over 'bitter' comment

(CNN) — Democrat Hillary Clinton is seizing on comments Barack Obama recently made in which he said some Pennsylvanians who have lost their jobs are "bitter."

"It's being reported that my opponent said that the people of Pennsylvania who face hard times are bitter," Clinton said during a campaign event in Philadelphia. "Well that's not my experience. As I travel around Pennsylvania. I meet people who are resilient, optimist positive who are rolling up their sleeves."

"Pennsylvanians don't need a president who looks down on them," she said. "They need a president who stands up for them, who fights hard for your future, your jobs, your families."
