Hillary supporters Unit #3 ..yes we are still here!

As a Hillary supporter myself, I just want to say it is NOT a vote for Palin...it is a vote for McCain. McCain is still at the top of the ticket, right? Sure I wish Palin wasn't on the ticket and wish it was someone like Lieberman or someone like that, but we don't always get what we wish for, do we?

Like it or not, McCain or Obama WILL be our next President. We have to make a choice. Truthfully I am not happy with either one, I wish we could do a "do over" but McCain and Obama we are stuck with. So when it came to decision time McCain won hands down to Obama.

I live with myself very well in knowing I will be voting for McCain in November. Not voting or writing in is NOT an option for me. This election is too important. McCain will be a better President then Obama. I will do my part in making sure McCain is elected President and yes this Hillary supporter will drive to the polls in November and vote for McCain and go to bed that night knowing I made the right chioce in my opinion.

Serious question, are you concerned at all over McCain's ability to fulfil the office of President for 4 years? It really concerns me that Palin could step into the Presidency. I realize that Obama may also not be able to serve a full term for some reason (I mean, any of us could be gone in an instant), but I truly am concerned about McCain's overall health and age, and Palin being the VP.

Well JMO but I hope that type of sign isn't widespread enough to be really noticed. A sign like that can only hurt Hillary's carreer, and therefore her chances of running again.

Sure, it's a thought that something might happen to McCain and Palin will take over. But I will not let that scare me into voting for Obama. An Obama presidency is scary enough.

If Obama wins he will be president, and that is a scary thought.
If McCain wins, McCain might die and Palin might take over as President and that is a scary thought.

Let's see one is a sure thing and the other MIGHT happen.
I will take my gamble with McCain

I'm truly convinced that if JmC wins, he WILL be "retired" somehow before his first term finishes, effectively making SP the first woman president. Then she'll set us back so much that that another woman won't make it to the WH for at least another generation.

Not to mention that the thought of her leading the free world gives me nightmares :scared1:

What you're voting for is an aging man with questionable health who may or may not be able to survive the stress of a 4 year term.

I was willing to suffer through a McCain presidency if it came to that. I think there is the possibility that he might be an okay president - or at least not any worse then Obama.

But his pick of Palin and her radical right wing stance on so many issues frankly sickens me. Combine McCains questionable health, Palin's obvious willingness to break rules to force her way, her complete ignorance, and the support she continues to get from a segment of the population I have no respect for. I don't want that woman anywhere near the White house, not even as a maid.

Part of it is "Setup" If McCain wins, that makes it easier for Hillary to run in 2012!

I disagree. 4 years as VP is going to make Palin a much stronger candidate and make it harder for Hillary. Unless McCain's presidency is a total and complete failure.

And the possibility that Palin might wind up as POTUS as a result of McCains health? Not a chance I'm willing to take.

I just do not understand voting for someone so absolutely opposite of everything we said we supported in Hillary.

.

I just do not understand voting for someone so absolutely opposite of everything we said we supported in Hillary.

I agree with your concerns about Palin. I wish McCain did not pick her.

But again I am not voting for Palin, I am voting for McCain. Unfortunitely Palin comes with McCain. I second guessed my McCain vote when Palin first got on the scene, but after some research and some personal thinking, I still think McCain (even with Palin) is a much better choice then Obama.

That is just my opinion and not everyone is going to agree and that is fine. I respect you for your opinion and I just ask that you respect my opinion.

Wow I don't understand how you live with yourself and vote for McCain and Palin. I get hating Obama. I loathe him as much or more then anyone on this thread. I can respect not voting, or writing in a vote. But I cannot respect any Dem voting for a ticket that contains Palin.

I don't understand why you were a Hillary supporter, if you can find it in you to turn around and vote for Palin.

Well lets see....I am not voting for Palin I am voting for McCain....I dont hate Obama, and sorry that you need to hate someone so much just because you dont agree with him.

I never asked for your respect..this is not what this is all about. Obama is wayyyyyyy to far left for me and Hillary was more of a moderate with a hard lean to the left......McCain is a Moderate with a far lean to the right.....I am a moderate with a lean to the left but can lean to the right .

I am fiscally Republican and socially Democratic....Palin is wayyyyyy to far right for me and the only 2 things I have in common with her is off shore drilling and that she to is a woman...

You my friend are a staunch Democrate ....I am not.

As for Obama we dont need to get into that because we have all already done that. I am getting the impression that it is not McCain you hate so much but Palin....because you mentioned Palin and not McCain once.

Get rid of your hate...life is too short......and no need to talk to me like that....I would not ever talk to you like that if you made the decision to vote for Obama. Your choice your vote. My choice my vote.

WOW you really dont even know this woman except for all the media has to say about her and the hate that goes around these boards about her .....have you not learned what they did to Hillary is the same thing.

Granted she is not my pick either but I do have some republican friends that really like her and her beliefs....but I have not disowned my BFF just because they feel that way. They are great friend to me.

so you have any republican friends or just DEM friends???:confused3

I did not agree with everything that Hillary did...did you :confused3

Hillary is not the complete opposite of McCain....not at all.....Palin yes but again we are not voting here for her.

and if Palin were to run against Hillary in 4 years there is not way she would win.....there are other Rep that are much more qualified that will run against her.

hope this helps you understand a little more.
There are other Republicans much more qualified than her now and they were tossed aside for her. This even without any VP credentials. Like I said before, Palin's choice was a slap to the face of every Rep woman who was more deserving of her, but were tossed aside in favor of the "younger, cuter one"

If McCain wins, it will only pave the way to the WH for her.

But KiKifan was talking about Palin running as the POTUS in 4 years...not VP...

And dont think he chose her because she was the "younger cuter one".....

As for his VP pick......Obama could have also picked Hillary but he did not and if he had he would have had the race in the bag. So IMO Obama also made a bad choice....and IMO it was not because she was not qualified...it was because he did not like her and put his personal feelings in front of the election.....

Causing such a close race.....
But KiKifan was talking about Palin running as the POTUS in 4 years...not VP...

I was also talking about Palin running as POTUS. Se was chosen now even thought there were dozens and dozens of Reps (both male and female) more deserving that her. ence has nothing to do with her pick In four years she will have VP cred. Experi. And VPs almost always get their party nomination if they want it. That if McCain isn't retired before finishing his first term

I don't "hate" Palin, but I do disagree with her positions on everything. There is basically nothing on which I agree with her. You say you are voting for McCain, not Palin. Unfortunately, my position is that is may prove to be the same, as I could easily see Palin having to assume the Presidency to finish McCain's term of office. Then we'd really be stuck. And if you think that she couldn't appoint SC Justices without approval of congress, she'd only have to wait and appoint them when congress goes into recess, wouldn't she?

I just could never vote for that ticket and take that chance.
Then, why was she chosen over so many more deserving women?
:thumbsup2 you nad many other REP have said the same. We do like our Hillary in here  :goodvibes
I have to admit that in MOST cases, I don't believes repubs who say they like HC. It's very difficult to believe this after years and years of hearing most of the ones I know bash her to death that suddenly they "like" her and see BO as "evil." I think they believe he will win and jumped on her bandwagon (with the encouragement of her one-time worst critic, Rush) just to bash BO.

This may not apply to the poster in question and I don't mean it personally. But those who are genuine HS should be wary of the kinds of "support" they're getting here. My guess is that, should BO lose and HC run next time, the same folks will be bashing her once again.

BTW, I do like her ideas and admire her strength and work ethic. I hope she runs again for POTUS since she is clearly highly qualified.

Well lets see...she is smart, she has a lot of tenacity, she is a staunch republican, she has experience, she is a woman, and many other reasons he picked her ...mainly to light a fire under the Republican base.

Also be sure not to come back and say he should not have picked her because she is a GOV because Obama had 2 top picks that were Govs....with no foreign experience.

You are a DEM and will not see what the REP see in her because she is so far separated with your views.....but saying because she is cute and young as the only reason is unfair.and if I thought that I would clearly say so.

There are many rep women with those qualities, and YEARS -even decades- of REAL experience, who deserved it more. There's no doubt about it

No it is no unfair. Many -even some republicans- think her looks played a big part in her pick.

I think maybe it'd be wise If I just don't come back, period.

Hope to see you all in happier threads!

I don't care whether you're a right leaning independent, a left leaning Repub.

The point is you were a Hillary supporter. And that sign is slap in the face to Hillary and all that she stands for. It makes a mockery of all that her campaign was fighting for. It is nothing more then another attempt by the Republicans to continue vilifying Hillary

You want to go vote for McCain? Fine whatever. Obviously it's your right. But I worked on Hillary's campaign and I for one, resent the hell out of a sign like that which basically ridicules Hillary and every thing we were working for.

And no I don't get my political information from the DIS. I do my own research.

And yes, I do have Republican friends, and family members too! Of course they don't tend to be of the radical variety.

Have you seen the interviews?
Have you looked at her educational background?

DH has been a republican since the first time he could vote....he is 53. Every election we vote different and wipe each others votes out. This year he was voting for Hillary. His first time voting Democratic.

He has since changed back to McCain and we will still be voting the same.

I was going into the Conservative thread from the beginning of this election....asking questions and such. They new I was at that time for Hillary or Obama not once was trashed for it....yet the OS trashed me and others that were HS for being HS and not voting Obama....

The OS said more nasty things about Hillary than the McCain supporters did.

They will remain my friends and many of them did not like the way Hillary was treated. They talked about it often during the primaries.

I have no doubt that the conversation would have been mush different if Hillary had won the nomination...no doubt at all.

by the way they did not bash her to death...Bash yes ...again the OS did.
