I've had an obama sign on my lawn since the NJ primaries....

I have seen a scattering of obama signs in north jersey....
no mccain....

When I traveled to my Moms in Pa I saw a scattering of obama and mccain lawn signs....

I haven't seen any yard signs whatsoever and I tend to notice those. During our last mayor's race, signs were everywhere! So far no one seems to care as much here.

There have been a lot of Obama yard signs up in our area since the primary; we had a local office for Obama and I don't think McCain had one. Our yard sign and rally sign in our window have been up since then. I haven't seen a single McCain yard sign yet, but I did see a McCain bumper sticker and t-shirt during our Pendleton Round-Up.

I haven't seen anything yet with running mates on it - I figured that's what a lot of people were waiting for, but nada yet. Our Obama office just opened back up and I haven't been in yet to see if they have anything Obama/Biden.

Yard signs for non-presidential candidates are starting to come out as well here this week.

today the media on all the stations.. are getting on Obama and McCain for there half truths and lies on there adds...they pointed out that Obama and McCain have been even on the lies.

They said that the Obama camp has been crying that McCain is spreading all lies yet the Obama camp is doing exactly the same. They were commenting a lot about one of the new adds where Obama is saying this about McCain ...it is a NEG add about McCain being so negative...they were saying basically ...what's up with that...and how the Obama camp needs to be careful because they are the campaign that said they would not do that...



It was interesting .....they also said that it is going to get worse because the swift boaters are all financial-ed up and ready to go

Why any one would want to be the POTUS I dont know....

HMMMM can we have a do over I want a do over....

It was like that for a long time and if you asked anyone they got insulted...they would say it was a private thing...so as I grew up I took on that same kind of mentality.

Sometimes I think that would not be a bad thing....2 things that are hard to discuss and they are Politics and religion.....once your mind is made up on either a candidate or a faith if someone tries to tell you different( as we have found on the DIS) it begins to cause a conflict of interest.

Well I guess when you only have like 39- 69 million dollars in an account you cant afford to give out signs or pins for that matter. joking aside, the price for adds these days are astronomical so the money really needs to stretched somewhere and I guess signs are the last to go out the door these days..hmmmmm are they still free

As a kid, the Nixon Campaign gave me 20 bucks to go put flyers and "Nixon/Agnew" pens in all the mailboxes!!!!! That was like hittin the Lottery in those days!

Well I know here they have a DFL and a Republican building that both just opened a month ago. If anyone wants any kind of sign for Presidential or any local candidates they can get them.
Either people don't want them here or people are too afraid to put them up.

This election is so heated that who knows what some crazy person would do

Also we have a lot of old timers in town. We are an old farming town so alot of thom grew up not talking about who they are going to vote for.

I am in Obama territory and I have seen lots of bumper stickers, but very few lawn signs.

Around here it was more a fight to win the Dem primaries. The general election is not going o be hotly contested here.

Hi my friends...well another day closer to voting....or not
Things I have no doubt are going to start getting interesting to say the least. Adds, clips from there rallies, news casters biased opinions, swift boaters..and supporters. Oh and the half truths that will go back and forth...cant' forget them.

Personally I can't wait till it is all over one way or the other. And either way I wont be jumping for joy or left disappointed like the OS or MS will be if one or the other losses or wins. So I guess that's a good thing for me.

They are saying that it may all come down to Florida as the swing state....well if that is the truth than if Obama had Hillary as VP it would be won.

Interesting site, but I was turned-off by the Palin praise (where's that vomiting emoticon?). Sorry, the two women are not interchangeable. Maybe it's just me but I really can't see how could I support both Hillary and SP?

My feelings exactly. I don't think this site (the one mentioned above not the DIS!) has any REAL Hillary folks, just the Rep cross-overs. How low can they go?

I can tell ya this...I dont support McCain (if I do) because or not because of Hillary. It's because I dont like the man Obama is. Not because of his issues or because they were similar to Hillary's.

After Hillary was out of the race I had to look at both candidates and judge from that point on on what I had learned about them up to that point and at that point what I had learned about Obama I did not like. To be fair I did not know that much of McCain so had to go looking and reading and watching.

The more I watched and listened to Obama the more I distrusted him. The more I listened to McCain(before Palin I felt I could trust him more than Obama.

When Palin came on board it changed the game somewhat for me voting for McCain but not to Obama. At that point I was 80/20. As for all the untruths that both campaigns have been doing well that is old politics nothing new and certainly nothing new for Obama.....the man who swore he would not go there no matter what.

At this point my 20% is a write in and 80%McCain. But since my vote will not matter here in Ca. and Obama has a clear run on the state I may just write in DISUNC

Unless there is anyone else here that wants to be POTUS I can write your name instead

Either way I will go to the polls....I have not missed one yet and this is no time to start. But it would be the first time i ever did a write in. Well guess there's a first time for everything.
