Hillary on GMA...

I don't believe she was as much interested in serving the people of NY as she was in serving her own ambitions.
Is there a reason for you to believe this - or just dislike of Hill? The people of New York - who probably follow what she does and doesn't do for the state pretty closely, seem to think she's doing a fantastic job serving the people of New York. Can you give us any examples of things she has done in the Senate to put her needs above the needs of the State (other than running for President, which pretty much everybody running for President does.)

Can someone explain this for me please!!?!?!?!?!

I explained it earlier but I will do so again.
Romney is from MI
He moved to MA to go to college, got a job after graduation and lived in MA for I think, but could be wrong, 15yrs
After his failed attempt to take Ted Kennedy's seat, he moved to Utah and ran the Olympics. He remained in Utah for several years but maintained part time residency in MA for official records.
He moved to MA specifically to run for Governor. It was pretty obvious that the move to MA and the governorship was a stepping stone to a Presidential run.

Hence why he would be considered a carpetbagger to some. I don't feel he is one in a true sense of the word, but as a former constituent of his, I do feel very much used by him.

In order to achieve her goal, she'd better do a fine job. I never said she wasn't. The people reelected her to a second term. They are just a means to an end for her. She never entered the Senate with it in mind that she was going to stay devoted to the people of NY. I'll say it again - some people will admire that sort of ambition and others will simply view her as an opportunist. I'm not trying to convince you of one over the other, just expressing my opinion.

just expressing my opinion.
And I appreciate your doing it. Thanks for putting up with my questions. I'm always fascinated by people's feelings about Hill - in particular, whether they are based on things she has actually done, or if it's just a hatred of the woman in general.

Thanks!:thumbsup2

I didn't know about his past.

Nah...we arent dead...just waiting for Thompson or maybe even Jeb to jump in. We are getting close to the implosion point for the Dems. I think they will destroy eachother trying to get to the top. I love those bumper stickers with that date, ummm 1.20.09 i believe, last day of Bush in office....but what it should really say is..... 1.20.09 first day of work for the next Republican President.;)

My crystal ball tells me Bill Richardson is going to take off like a shot with maybe Dodd as his running mate.

On the Republican side, the freak show of Giuliani, McCain, Romney, and Gingrich really have to go. I'm looking at either Chuck Hagel or Fred Thompson getting into the race. Btw, I wouldn't vote for either one of them, but I usually like what they have to say.

However, on the upside, the neo-cons and the far right are dead in the water.

Hopefully they're just as dead as the far left has been. Speaking of the far left, you gotta have your panties all in a wad about Giuliani. Another endorsement today, this one from Steve Forbes. I know it's early but polls have him beating anyone the Democrats throw up there.

He favors abortion rights, gun control, and same-sex unions yet the far left apparently thinks of him as a "freak show".

That all-inclusive tent you have there just ain't shrinking, it's imploding.

As an ex-New Yorker who knows Rudy's tactics well (and it ain't all that pretty) I'm lovin' it! Just wait for the sound of flip flops when Rudy boy does an about face for the religious right. If he does get the nod, without mangling his values, and with all his baggage (he's over the allowable limit), I say kudos to the Repubs for finally at least appearing to embrace moderatism.

How could Giuliani win the election? Certainly all those people who said Bush won because of the family values vote would never vote for Giuliani, right? Or is he proof they were full of it and are total hyprocrits if there is an R next to the name?

Quakeing in my boots because Steve Forbes endorsed somebody :scratchin Nah.

I don't think anyone on the left is worried about Giuliani because we are 100% sure Republicans won't nominate him. Maybe we are wrong and you guys will surprise us. Would sure make things interesting.

He gets more electoral votes than the other guy/gal?

Are you suggesting that someone shouldn't vote for a candidate because they don't agree with everything that person does? Or are you suggesting that someone shouldn't vote for a candidate because they don't agree with one of the "biggies?" Or are you suggesting that if you don't agree with everything a candiate does, you shouldn't vote at all? Or should vote for the other person just because? What exactly are you suggesting?

And I'm pretty certain there are just as many hypocrites with a (D) as there are hypocrites with an (R).

But, YMMV.

100%? Wow. Sounds like a wager may be in order.

Just one question, who the hell doesn't have baggage?

Thats a great point......so Hillary will need all seven hundred 40-foot Sealund shipping containers on the dock in Boston Haaa-baaa, or sorry harbor.:lmao:

Some just need one baggage container... and some need the whole cargo bay.

Richie....you are a GOD man, keep on postin!!!!!:thumbsup2

Name one front runner (real contender here) that doesn't need an entire baggage container from either party.

There isn't one. But ever since Giuliani's "playbook" was found by a reporter leaking all sorts of secrets like (1) he's gonna have to spend a ton of money and (2) he's concerned about his "baggage", then that's been the warcry of the left.

If any candidate isn't worried about their baggage...they're crazy. Does anyone thing Hilarry and Obama and McCain don't have a play book on ways to deal with their scandals and potential scandals?
