Hilary Swank article?!?

I was reading this article about Hilary Swank wanting kids and then got to the part where she is nude around her boyfriend's 6 year old son. IMO, 6 years old is too old to be letting a kid see you nude (let alone being nude around a child that belongs to someone you're dating) . What do you guys think?

Yeah, that is weird. If I were that 6 year old's mother, I'd be ticked. 6 years old IS too old IMO for a kid to see his dad's girlfriend without any clothes on.

Personally, I come from a modest background so I would find it objectionable. However, I am aware that other people have less 'puritan' upbringings and find nothing wrong with what she apparently does.

I read that in a Marie Claire magazine interview with her. I always liked her up until that moment yesterday when I saw that. I was horrified! I think it is completely inappropriate for her to be nude in front of her boyfriends 6 yr old boy. In the article, she talked about how she sleeps in the nude and he sees her when he wakes up in the morning. She also wonders at what age she should stop walking around nude in front of him. Ummmm, NOW!!!

Okay, sorry. I'll get off my soap box now. I just think it's soooooo inappropriate. People in Hollywood are nuts.

I think the average 6 year old boy is becoing aware of sexuality/his body parts, and unless he's been born into a culture where everyone's nude all the time, it's natural that he may start feeling arousal when seeing a woman who's not his mom nude. I don't think HS should be doing that at his age.

We're a bit of a nudist family, so I don't consider walking around naked in front of a 6 year old in itself to be unusual. For my kids, I stopped being nude in front of them around the time they became uncomfortable being naked in front of me. As far as being naked in front of her boyfriends kid - I guess that would depend, if she's been with the boyfriend long enough that the kid considers her part of the household, the boyfriend is comfortable with it, and the kid's mom is comfortable with it, I don't see the problem. If any of the involved parties (boyfriend, ex, or the kid) is uncomfortable with it, it shouldn't be happening.

I think the answer to her question is now. However, I don't see it as such a big deal, its just a body without clothes.
Now if her and the father were getting a morning quickie in everyday and the 6 year old was coming in watching, then yes totally innapproriate. Seeing someone naked, not so much.

I agree to a point.

If my kids catch a glimpse of me nude or I catch a glimpse of them, we don't freak out, it's no big deal, and my "kids" are 17 and 23 year old boys.

That being said, I've taught them that private parts are just that, private. I feel this protects them from those who would sexually take advantage of them.
