I am not a Hillary fan, but I think Obama is worse. If someone wants to vote for him because they understand him and his positions, know what he plans to do, know what he stands for, and know how his background and accomplsihments will shape his future, than all the power to them. Go and vote for him. But plenty of people vote for him because
A. they think he's going to win (the whole concept of momentum defies democracy. all the primaries should be on ONE day so that people's votes are independant. also, the people who live in late states might actually have a say...)
B. he's "inspirational" and like Kennedy--NO HE IS NOT. Kennedy inspired people to public service. Obama does not do this, and the comparison is wrong. His "inspriation" comes out of a whole bunch of gripiness. He's inspiring people to vote for him by telling them there will be change.
C. The "change message." Monosyllabic applause lines about hope and change are all very nice, but he isn't genuine. He presents himself as a savior. When he becoems president, everyone's problems will go away. People ARE delusional if they think that voting him prez will solve all their problems. everything that ALL of these cadidates say has to go through congress first..so shame on you, Barack Obama, for giving plenty of people false hope. maybe you will solve some of their problems, but stop acting like a god!
D. he's a washington outsider...please. this man launched his campaign after about ONE YEAR in the senate. but if you read his book, you'll find something that reads like some wort of elaborate memoir of his complete understanding of the senate and america..
IMO, these are not reasosn to pick him
all of the candidates leave a lot to be desired. I could say plenty of bad things about Hillary (have you seen the "body count" website?) but Obama came to mind, and I think we will have more of a problem with him. He is ultra liberal...and I don't think people realize this
