Hilarious New York Times review about Guy Fieri's new Times Square Restaurant

Oh. My.

I am not a big Guy fan, I much prefer Alton Brown, but still, ouch!

I thought it was well written and humorous. Too bad it didn't favor Guy. Hope he can change it around. Until then, I won't be trying it out!

Oh, my.

Sounds like the majority of the problems were in execution, not necessarily the recipes themselves. I think Guy needs to get in there and establish a little quality control.

The place is probably review-proof, it's obviously geared at the tourist crowd, who'll want to go because it has his name on it.

Agreed, I don't think the review will be much of a deterrent. Those who would've gone are going to go anyway, and the segment of the population who avoids this kind of place would avoid regardless of any type of review.

That's too bad. He really is sincere about his endeavors so I hope he straightens them out.

Did he take over the space that used to be ESPN?

Very disappointing. We love DDD and had even planned on visiting a few places. Not sure I want to trust his opinion now:(

Wow, Dude, tell us how you really feel!

We've been to his Johnny Garlic's near-by, and it was OK. (I think we got our entrees before the appetizer too.) The food was more than just "edible" and I think it was pricey for the food it was. I think we were paying for his name.

I never saw him as a chef, more as a cook. He has never been known for his amazing cuisine. I see his places as more touristy, fun, hang out with buddies type of place, not somewhere I would go to get a quality meal.

That said, there is still no reason that what he is serving can't be good quality and it doesn't sound like this is. Definatley a place I won't be visiting when I go into the city.
