We are planning a trip for August of 2008. Our home resort is Saratoga Springs. Will I be okay getting a two bedroom for the middle of August at the 7 month mark?

I have successfully booked 2 Two bedrooms for the past 3 July's day by day at the 7 month window.

Call FIRST thing in the morning day by day woul be my advice, and get on the waitlist if something isn't open.

Availability at HH dramatically increases the later you get into August. Early that month is still high season, but by the end of the second week all the sunbelt families are gone (their schools having opened by then). Three years ago, we got a 1 bedroom (the most limited category at HH) at 7 months for a stay starting on 8/16.

The guest demographics also change - by the later part of August, almost all the southern accents are gone, replaced by people from the U.K. and U.S. northeast.

We got the room Day By Day in Aug second week. You should have no problem Look at resort map and request a villa by the pool. We had bulinding 23 & 21 just to the right of the pool marsh view. Just check on the map where you would like to stay. We got the room we asked for on both trips. The last time down I got my room at 6:45 am.

We have points at HHI but decided in January to go for a few days and tried any 3 nights (sun-thurs) June July or August and we had a great CM who went week by week and we finally got August 12-15. We have been many times to HHI and I would vote against the villas right by the pool, noisy and not very private. We have had 2-bdrooms in building 29 and 30 and they are great, overlooking the entrance to shelter cove marina and we watched dolphins from our porch and had great view of the tuesday night fireworks. Only a very short walk to the main pool and the recreation area.
